In the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed to implement the strategy of rural revitalization. And rural tourism,as a effective carrier for the adjustment of rural industrial structure and leisure of urban residents,is an important breakthrough and effective starting point for helping rural areas achieve precise poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. Now,in the process of rural tourism development, cultural landscape has become the core attraction, which has been coveted and favored by tourism developers. To a certain extent, this brings challenges to the protection of cultural landscapes and also threatens rural culture. Therefore,it is important for protection and inheritance of rural culture and sustainable development of rural tourism to analyzes the cultural landscape changes and spatial distribution driven by rural tourism development and deal with the relationship between the development of rural tourism and the protection of cultural landscape.Based on the theory of landscape perception and cultural landscape theory, this study defines the concept and type of cultural landscape. Then combining the results of residents interviews, this article constructs a survey scale of cultural landscape changes in rural tourism destinations and form a questionnaire. And through descriptive statistical analysis, reliability and validity test, factor analysis, correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis, this article draws conclusions about the degree of cultural landscape changes and their impact on local culture in rural tourist destinations. Finally, the methods of participatory mapping and kernel density analysis are used to spatially visualize cultural landscape changes perception points. The research shows that: first, for the architectural landscape, both the degrees of changes and the numbers of spatial perception points are the largest, which have the greatest impact on local culture.Second, for the cultural landscape, both the degrees of changes and the numbers of spatial perception points are greater, which have greater impact on local culture.Third, for festivals and customs, the degree of change is average, the numbers of spatial perception points are the least, and the changes of this landscape have the least impact on local culture.Fourth, for handicraft landscapes, both of the degree of change and the numbers of spatial perception points are smaller, which have a general impact on culture;fifth, for agricultural landscapes, the degrees of changes is the least, the numbers of spatial perception points are average, which have smaller impact on local culture. Therefore, this study believes that the core of the protection of cultural landscapes in rural tourist destinations lies in architectural landscapes. The focus of protection lies in cultural and entertainment landscapes, and the key of protection lies in craftsmanship landscapes. At the same time, festival customs and agricultural landscapes should be protected as regulatory and supplementary parts.
