On The Pragmatic Strategies Of Admonition In Guoyu

Guoyu is a representative work of ancient "language" literature in China,among which forty-one pieces of admonition are typical representatives of Guoyu,which have high corpus value.Language can reflect society,and different social environments can also restrict the expression of language.The argumentation skills in Guoyu are excellent,but up to now,no one has studied it using the theory of pragmatics.This paper takes the admonition language in Guoyu as the research object,uses the theoretical such as pragmatic cooperation principle and politeness principle to analyze how admonition people accept the advice in the specific context,explores the pragmatic rules of admonition and its application.This paper is mainly divided into three parts: the introduction part first combs the research status of ancient remonstrance;secondly introduces the research significance,research methods and innovation of this paper;finally summarizes the important concepts and theories involved in this paper.The second part of the thesis is the main body.The first and second chapters of the main body are based on the admonition text of Mandarin,which is different from the previous scholars’ study of admonition only choosing successful cases for analysis.Combining with pragmatics theory,this thesis analyzes admonition in Guoyu from two aspects: failure cases and success cases,from which we can find out The pragmatic principles of admonition in Guoyu.The third chapter analyzes and arranges the sequence of pragmatic principles of admonition in Guoyu from the perspective of pragmatics,and establishes the discourse mode of admonition in Guoyu by imitating the form of "NP + VP" and analyzing the pragmatic law of admonition in Guoyu.The fourth chapter,based on the analysis and construction of the first three chapters,divides the pragmatic strategies of admonition language into three parts: those that produce positive effects,those that produce negative effects,and those that produce different effects under the influence of context.The last part of the paper is the conclusion,which mainly summarizes the previous point of view,and points out the shortcomings of this paper.
