The importance of the contrastive studies between Chinese and Bulgarian language has become increasingly prominent because of the developing communication and cooperation between China and Bulgaria in recent years. From the whole to the part, from the general to the special, this paper uses English as the contrast, and makes an in-depth comparison of the possessive structures which contain the pronouns of Chinese and Bulgarian language.Firstly,we reveal the fundamental difference between the two through the comparison of the genitives.Secondly,we comprehensively show the similarities and differences between the two in details by comparing the composition, characteristics, and syntactic forms of the basic structures. Then we observe the characteristics of the two possessive structures by comparing the influence of the added components on the word order of the basic structure in both languages. Finally,on the basis of previous researches,we summarize and analyze the issue of appearance and disappearance of ”的”.We reach a conclusion that in Chinese the possessive structure which contains the pronouns has single syntactic form, but it is more flexible and complex in actual pragmatics, while in Bulgarian its rules can be richer, clearer and more direct, leave less room for changing and allow less exceptions in actual pragmatics. We attempt to provide some references for the second language teaching and the inter-translation of Chinese and Bulgarian, and to enhance the mutual understanding of the languages and culture between China and Bulgaria through this conclusion.
