| Li Daoyuan’s Notes of the Book of Rivers made rich annotations for the Rivers.After the Song and Jin dynasties,there gradually formed a special study on Notes of the Book of Rivers,named The Study of Li,which developed into three main directions: textual,rhetoric and geography.Quan Zuwang,Zhao Yiqing and Dai Zhen in the Qianlong-Jiaqing Period represent a high academic level in the textual criticism.By the end of the Qing Dynasty,the development of geography has matured,marked by Yang Shoujing and Xiong Huizhen’s Explanations of Notes of the Book of Rivers.Since the Republic of China,many scholars have achieved fruitful results in The Study of Li.In contemporary,the best scholar and result belongs to Chen Qiaoyi and his Revision of Notes of the Book of Rivers.This paper centered on the volume 22-Ying river of Notes of the Book of Rivers,takes Wuyingdian edition,collated by Dai Zhen,as the master copy,and makes use of ten typical editions,including The Yongle Canon edition and Ming Dynasty manuscript edition in the ancient edition system and several kinds carving copies in Ming and Qing Dynasties in the current edition system and various research results for collation.Further considers the text choice and presents a reasonable analysis.Then dates back to the historical material sources of Notes of the Book of Rivers by Genus-book and retrieval tools,researching the basis of formation of the text,understanding the compilation process of the Notes of the Book of Rivers and knowing the quote and selection of historical materials.Finally,makes a careful research on geography,tried to recover the historical geographic information about Ying river,and draws a map to present research results in the paper.This article mainly utilizes the methods of history and philology and the study of archaeology and geography. |
