The studies of Jiao Hong’s Buddhist thoughts are still not complete,generally speaking.Apart from the analysis of Confucianism and Buddhism,the recent studies of Jiao Hong’s Buddhist thoughts also focus on Zen inwardness theory.The theme of this paper is the arrangement of Jiao Hong’s Buddhist thoughts,which are arranged in chronological order.Through the analysis of Jiao Hong’s writings,we could obtain the elementary logic of Jiao Hong’s comprehensive Buddhist thoughts.The national policy about Buddhism at that time pushed him to research the Buddhist Scripture.Jiao Hong gradually understood the meaning of life,and he eventually became a Buddhist.His Buddhist thoughts developed with age,and it strengthened his religious belief finally.Although Jiao Hong always adhere to the more integrated three religions,but with the growth of his age and experience,Buddhist thought eventually dominated.While Jiao Hong’s Buddhist thoughts mostly stem from Assiduous studying of Buddhist Scripture without guidance from monks.Through the study of his articles about temples,we can have an insight into Jiao Hong’s perspective on Buddhism socialization.The questioning of the meaning of life is the spiritual pursuit that runs through Jiao Hong’s life.This establishment,exploration and the essence of this spiritual pursuit,are the main content of the first chapter of this paper.The tathagatagarbha has a profound influence on Jiao Hong’s Buddhist thought,and its specific contents will be discussed in Chapter 2 in combination with Jiao Hong’s works and Buddhist scriptures.Jiao Hong has written many articles for some monasteries of Nanjing city,taking writing time as the clue,can be linked in series to focus on the development of Jiao Hong’s Buddhist thought from youth,youth to middle age and old age,which is the main content of the third chapter.
