A Study On Richard Shusterman’s Somaesthetics

The body exists with the birth of human beings.Physical problems are an issue that no one can avoid.Since ancient times,the study of "body" has been deepened in China and the West,and the theory of body has been continuously developed.Especially at the end of the 20 th century,with the advent of the consumer society and the information media era,the status of the "body" in consumer culture has become more prominent,and it has re-entered the stage in postmodern life as a new media intermediary.People Expectations for self-improvement and the pursuit of a better self are increasing day by day.However,in daily aesthetics,imposed aesthetic standards gradually standardize and obscure the body’s cognitive function,and lose the original independent "thinking ability",unable to convey and obtain the original feelings.Therefore,studying body aesthetics,as a theoretical representation and response to cultural symptoms of the times,helps us to properly perfect and display ourselves in a consumer society,and helps us to properly grasp and construct the standards of body aesthetics.This article attempts to start with the historical context of body concept and body theory in Western philosophy,carefully combs the body concept and research on body in each period,and depicts the formation trajectory of body aesthetic thought,and analyzes it through horizontal and vertical comparative analysis.The relationship between various theories and Shusterman’s body aesthetic theory,to further understand the traceability of Shusterman’s body aesthetic theory.Focus on discussing the three dimensions and core categories of Shusterman’s body aesthetics,analyze its essential attributes,characteristics and aesthetic significance,and then analyze the scientific connotation of its aesthetic thoughts.The theory,reality,practical significance and value of Shusterman’s body aesthetics are summarized,and some questions to be discussed are put forward.Finally,put the body aesthetics in the context of "post-body" aesthetics,analyze the relationship between the body and the media,and take the "trembling" short video as an example to analyze the representation of body aesthetics in it,and then propose to guide to establish health Specific approach to body view.The full text is divided into four parts,which are divided into introduction and three chapters:The first part is the introduction.Since Schustman’s body aesthetic theory belongs to the "new" old knowledge,this part tries to grasp the research distribution of body aesthetics in recent years through the analysis of the literature search.The second part discusses the body aesthetics of Schustman.Source of thought.It summarizes the development of body concept in Chinese and Western philosophy,the formation of Schustman’s body aesthetics and its relationship with various body theories;the third part discusses the aesthetic context of Schustman’s body aesthetics.From the philosophical level,the three dimensions of body aesthetics are recombined and reanalyzed,and the core category of body aesthetics,body consciousness,is explained.Taking physical experience as the starting point,the connotation of aesthetic experience is further expounded from the level of physical practice.The fourth part discusses the theoretical value and shortcomings of Shusterman’s body aesthetics;the fifth part discusses Shusterman’s body aesthetics in the context of "post-body" aesthetics,placing body aesthetics in the "post-body" aesthetics In the context,the relationship between the body and the media is analyzed.Taking the "trembling sound" short video as an example,the physical and alienation of the body in the short video is analyzed with the theory of body aesthetics,and the solution is proposed.
