| Mobility data represents a very valuable source of information.As ubiquitous Internet pervades our society,with the advancement of mobile devices and positioning technology,and the progress of spatiotemporal database research,mobile data privacy technology plays an increasingly crucial role in science and technology.By introducing mobile data privacy technology,the author summarizes some translation methods in scientific and technical text,for which enriches the translation research in the field of mobile data privacy.The source text chosen in this report is one article on mobile data privacy which is taken from the book Handbook of Mobile Data Privacy(2018)published by Springer Publishing Company.When it refers to the text type,the source text is taken into account a scientific and technical text and contains some professional terminologies,acronyms,long and complex sentences and passive voice sentences with objective,rigorous and precise contents.The author of this report takes Functional Equivalence Theory as the theoretical framework,discusses the translation methods such as amplification and part of speech conversion,and summarizes the translation experience.This report contains four chapters.Chapter one is the description of translation task,which mainly introduces the source of the text,the background and significance of the topic,and the features of the text.Chapter two is the description of translation process,which mainly introduces the translator’s preparatory work before translation,as well as the implementation process of translation task and quality control.Chapter three is the case analysis,which analyzes the source text and the translation at the lexical,syntactic and discourse levels under the guidance of Eugene Nida’s Functional Equivalence Theory.Chapter four is a summary of translation practice,which mainly summarizes the experience accumulated in the translation process and the unsolved problems in the translation process. |
