A Study On The Formation Of Shen Congwen’s Xiangxi Writing In The Context Of Modernity

As a special example in the process of the transformation of modern Chinese literature,Shen Congwen’s writing in Xiangxi has multiple meanings and research values.Based on the perspective of literary Genesis,this paper traces the interaction between the context of the times and the writer’s personal circumstances by returning to the scene of history,linking the different features of Shen Congwen’ s writing in Western Hunan with the historical situation.In the social and cultural context of modern China since the May 4th Movement and the writer’s own cognitive cultural context,this paper attempts to tease out how Shen Congwen’s writing in Western Hunan was generated in the context of modernity.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes the research significance and purpose of the topic,the research status quo of Shen Congwen’s research results,the research scope and research methods of this paper.The second part is the geographical space of Western Hunan and Shen Congwen’s life experience.This paper traces Shen Congwen’ s life experience in Xiangxi from the natural geographical space and cultural space.This paper mainly discusses the Western Hunan space as the cultural source of Shen Congwen’s Modernity tension narrative space.The third part is the Western Hunan writing and the entry of modern context in 1920s.Shen Congwen first integrated his creation into the modern context,dug out the discourse resources of Xiangxi in the context of modernity from the creation practice of Peking University Ballad Movement and local novels,and consciously displayed the appearance of the prototype Xiangxi in Xiangxi writing.The fourth part is the construction of ideal Xiangxi in the context of modernity.Through Shen Congwen’s reflection on literary creation in the context of modernity,he constructed his identity as a countryman and consciously wrote in Xiangxi independent of the mainstream discourse in the literary world.By exploring the local culture in Western Hunan,the core power of vitality in human nature is written.Shen Congwen integrates his own modern appeal with local culture.From the Western Hunan and the modern culture,construct the writing face of ideal Western Hunan.The fifth part is the reality of Xiangxi in the context of modernity.Taking Shen Congwen’s two homecoming as an opportunity,Xiangxi writing inevitably turned to rational reflection on Modernity in the context of war.On the one hand,it describes the real face of Xiangxi in the context of modernity;on the other hand,it also includes the overall thinking of China’s national state.The conclusion points out that Shen Congwen’s writing in Xiangxi in the context of modernity came from the multi-cultural texture of society,era,nation and individual in the difficult period of transformation in China in the 1920s.It embodies a special aspect of Chinese modern literature in the process of transformation of modernity context.With the change of times and its own context,the formation process of writing in Western Hunan also experienced a process from self-service to free writing.In the process of Chinese literature to modern literature,Shen Congwen consciously and fully developed a writing path.Therefore,the systematic interpretation and carding of the generation path of Shen Congwen’s writing in Western Hunan will open up a new perspective for the study of deepening the understanding of writing in Western Hunan,that is,the understanding and analysis of modern culture and local culture at the level of literary generation relationship.The study of this problem is also are exploration of the cultural value of Shen Congwen’s writing in Western Hunan.
