A Study Of Questioning Discourse Used By Adults In Children

Conversation is the main form of interaction between adults and children between the ages of 3 and 6.The question is a more interactive conversational approach.It studies the special and typical conversations of adults with children.It analyzes the conversational characteristics of adults and children and promotes adulthood.Effective communication of children is of great significance.Therefore,this paper is supported by the systemic functional grammar theory and the conversational analysis theory.The paper discusses the adult-to-child questioning discourse with the slogan "Where are we Going Dad" and "Super Mom ".The article has five chapters.The first chapter introduces the reasons for choosing the topic,the research status,the research significance,the source of the corpus,the research methods and the theoretical background.Chapters 2 through 4 are the main parts of the article.The second chapter and the third chapter study the grammatical features of the question sentences used by adults for children from the two aspects of structure type and function type.The fourth chapter mainly studies the expression function of the question sentences used by adults in children,including interpersonal functions and textual functions.Chapter 5 summarizes the main findings,inspirations,limitations,and perspectives for the future.Through the literature method,corpus transcription method,inductive method and econometric analysis,the article finds that the questioning discourse used by adults for children has the following characteristics:structurally,the choice is the most,followed by the question and the yes-no question.The choice question includes positive and negative selection questions and column item selection questions.The positive and negative selection questions mainly include "V 不 V","有没有 ",the predicate is followed by "没有" and two-syllable word abbreviations.Yes-no,the word" 吗 " is the most questionable,especially the open question is more than the closed question.Functionally,adult questioning children’s most commonly used question types with special expression functions are additional questions and questions,followed by echo questions and nonsense usage of questions.In terms of expression function,the interpersonal functions of adults asking children mainly include information function,criticism and accusation function,promotion of conversation function,weakening suggestion/command function,persuasion education function,discourse function mainly including turn-taking,conversation maintenance function and discourse convergence function.,topic open function,topic recall function.The study found that when adults ask children in TV programs,the questioning method is interactive,the content of the questions is simple and easy to answer,and the questioning tone is cordial and euphemistic.Therefore,it is recommended that adults use questioning modal particles,choice questions,additional questions and questions when they ask children,simplify the way and content of questions,ask open questions,master conversation strategies,and fully utilize the expression function of questions.
