| Descartes is one of inaugurators who found modern western philosophy.In his philosophy,he tried to seek some affirmatory foundation for science.Thus he could establish grand blueprint of science based on it.In Descartes’ opinion,the relationship between philosophy and science is same as the relationship between tree root and the other parts of a tree.In a tree of Knowledge,the tree root is philosophy,the specific science is trunk、branch or leaf.Descartes epistemology had distinct scientific value.it showed in three parts.First,there was corresponding relation between his epistemology and his sciences.Secondly,his epistemology guided his scientific research.The last,there were some materialistic and dialectics factor in his epistemology.Besides studying on his epistemology,his scientific thought,corresponding relation between science and philosophy,we also did some research on his epistemology from materialistic and dialectics views.Because of this research,we can ulteriorly dig the scientific component in his philosophy thought.Providing some valuable enlightenment for setting up new relationship between contemporary science and philosophy is the other aim in this thesis.In new era,there are many different in all respects compare to the era when Descartes lived.In those times,the philosophy and science is syncretic.But in this new era we live,along the subject become more and more fine,science is separated from philosophy.There are few intersections between philosophy and science.Under these circumstances,science and philosophy were put in a tight spot.Philosophy not based on the foundation of sciences like water without resource.For science,the speculation of philosophy can offer guidance and confidence to it.Science will take a wrong path without the guidance of philosophy.So,we must establish union between it.Now the problem is how to set up the new relationship.Descartes’ method might give us some valuable elicitation.Philosophy should penetrate into development of specific science.Philosophy does not have advantage of a commanding position anymore.The guidance offered by philosophy must be microcosmic.For example,We can establish corresponding relationship between philosophy and science.We can use the fundamental principle to guide research of science.This paper can be divided into four parts:Part one:This part chiefly discuss the fundamental content of Descartes’epistemology.It discussed how Descartes establish his system of epistemology by asking questions.Part two:This part chiefly revealed corresponding relationship between his epistemology and science.for example,material is extension—nature abhor void.The motion of material and the conservation of momentum showed this corresponding relationship.Part three:This part chiefly revealed the factor of materialism and dialectics in Descartes’ epistemology.For example,the law of contradiction was revealed in his epistemology;Dialectical being revealed in his epistemology.Part four:This part chiefly discussed the enlightenment from Descartes’epistemology in the contemporary era.For example,the success of Descartes’epistemology gave confidence in the connection between science and philosophy atnow,and the approach of construction of his system is the path to constructing a new connection between contemporary science and philosophy. |
