| Chinese traditional festivals,an important part of China’s long and profound historical culture,record rich social lives of Chinese people and are seen as the treasure of Chinese culture and spiritual wealth of Chinese people.Promoting Chinese fine traditional festivals to the outside world can facilitate the understanding and recognition of Chinese culture by the world and the development and prosperity of both Chinese and the world’s culture.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Japan,the friendly cooperation between the two sides keeps moving ahead.The constantly improving friendly relations between the two countries lead to smooth conduction of teaching Chinese to Japanese.However,during the practical teaching of Chinese to Japanese,the teaching of Chinese culture has long been neglected,especially that of Chinese traditional festivals.Under the circumstances,the predecessors had done many researches in terms of the teaching of Chinese traditional festivals such as the Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival,but the cultural teaching of Dragon Boat Festival and Chinese Valentine’s Day is fairly less in contrast.In this paper,the senior students of the Chinese Department of Hokkaido Bunkyo University are taken as subject and the methods of contrast analysis,observation of class and research of references are being used,teaching research of Chinese traditional festivals is conducted with Dragon Boat Festival and Chinese Valentine’s Day as example.The contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction elaborating on the background and research significance of the paper,some research results by the predecessors and the research methods applied in this paper.The second chapter is on the relations between Chinese traditional festivals and teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It gives a detailed elaboration of the status and role of culture teaching,and the principle of cultural content’s selection in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,as well as a detailed statement of Chinese traditional festivals’ connotation and its application in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The third chapter,based on cross-cultural perspective,is on the comparison of traditional Chinese and Japanese festivals with Dragon Boat Festival and Chinese Valentine’s Day mainly from the time,the origin and the customs of the festivals.The fourth chapter prepares for the teaching research of Dragon Boat Festival and Chinese Valentine’s Day with the students of Hokkaido Bunkyo University as the teaching subject.In addition,this chapter also writes out the specific design thoughts of Dragon Boat Festival and Chinese Valentine’s Day,and subjectively gives a evaluation to this teaching design.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,elaborating on the main research content of this paper and analyzing the status and role of this paper in this research field,as well as pointing out the shortcomings of this paper,and expecting a good future of this research field. |
