| Psychological security is one of the basic needs for people.Students,with no exception,also have the natural need for sense of security in the classroom,to which we Chinese only paid little attention for a long time due to traditional culture or something like that.In recent years,research findings based on classroom sense of security have gradually come out with the noticed subjective value of students themselves.Even so,many students still have little sense of security in the English class.The study of junior middle school students’ sense of security in the English class in this paper is mainly based on documentary method,questionnaire,observation,interview and case analysis method.And the study makes full use of Humanistic Psychology’s view of education,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,the Affective Filter Hypothesis of Krashen and Horwitz’s Foreign Language Anxiety.After analyzing all the collected data,we can find that it is quite common for the junior middle school students to have "insecurity" in their English class.Based on this,some pertinent strategies are proposed.All in all,this study complements and enriches the theory of English teaching in middle schools on one hand;on the other hand,it can also help students to improve the English learning efficiency and promote the development of their physical and mental health. |
