| The panorama of contemporary language teaching is the introduction of new technology in the classrooms.During the elementary stage of Chinese learning,an interesting textbook not only attract the learners to start studying but also could inspire them to continue learning Chinese,so textbooks occupies a very important position in the language teaching process.Through this research,the author,analyzes the actual teaching material in the Introductory level at the Confucius Institute of the Autonomic University of Yucatan from different perspectives and also provides students’ and teachers’ opinions which in order to investigate the actual situation of the teaching material.The author describes especially UADY Confucius Institute introductory level textbook,the phonetic,vocabulary,texts and its analysis and statistical data.Sum up the advantages and disadvantages of this material from the perspective of the choice of words,the arrangement of vocabulary,text structure,practice and cultural factors.This paper collects a lot of first-hand valuable information which help to evaluate objectively this teaching material.Finally,based on the investigation and analysis of teachers and students perspectives,the author summarizes some suggestions for the development and preparation of new teaching materials suitable for local students in Mexico. |
