Collaborative facilitation refers to the experience of previous collaborative extract has a positive effect on the subsequent extraction of the individual. That is,the person who previously experienced collaborative extract can get a higher score in the final individual memories than the one previously experienced individual extract.Previous studies on the collaborative facilitation focused on the collaboration memories in extraction phase influence on the final results of the individual, and for the cause of promoting collaboration has not reached the same conclusion. This study focused on the collaboration in coding phase influence on the final result of the personal memories, and further analysis of the reasons for the collaborative facilitation.Three experiments were included in the research:Experiment 1 using a 2(encoding condition:single coding, collaborative coding)x 2(extraction condition:single extraction, collaborative extraction)between subjects design, explored the effects of coding and extraction conditions for the collaborative facilitation.Experiment 2 examined the effects of other members of the group suggest the number of the words on collaborative facilitation by changing the number of the words,in order to compare the relative contributions of re-exposure and cross-cuing to collaborative facilitation.Experiment 3 using a 2(group type:personal group, collaborative group)x 2(material type:DRM word list, independent word list)mix design, discussed the effect of error correction during group collaboration recall,by examine the impact on the amount of subsequent personal error memories of collaboration extract different types of materials.Under the experimental conditions of this study,we can draw the following conclusions:① Under both separate coding and collaboration coding conditions, the final memory scores of subjects are equal. This showed encoding conditions had little effect on the final individual’s personal memories.② Either alone coding or in collaboration coding, collaborative extraction can facilitate the subsequent personal proper memories, and reduce error memories rates. This showed during group collaboration recall,re-exposure and cross-cuing both contribute the collaborative facilitation.③The extent of collaborative facilitation not simply as the other members of the group suggested the number of words increased. When the number of tips to a certain extent, the degree of collaborative facilitation of the subjects no longer increased.④ In the final personal memories, the correct recall rate for DRM lists was significantly higher than the correct recall rate for unrelated lists;the error recall rate for DRM lists was significantly lower than the error recall rate for unrelated lists.⑤Under personal group conditions, the error recall rate for DRM lists was significantly higher than the error recall rate for unrelated lists in the final personal memories.Collaborative group conditions, there was no significant difference about the error recall rate for both lists.⑥ The contribution of re-exposure and cross-cuing to collaborative facilitation were equal, and both were far greater than the error correction.
