Pragmatics is a new emerging subject,as an important concept of pragmatics,pragmatic competence has been extensively studied and discussed.Since the 1980s,the acquisition of pragmatic competence has been getting attention from the academic of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Not only the correct grammar knowledge,but also the ability to use language decently and appropriately should be taught in class.As an important teaching material,textbooks have great effect on the teaching of pragmatic competence.The relevant current researches are mostly focusing on one issue of pragmatics,like cultural context,conversational implicature,discourse marker etc.However,these researches are scattered and lack of an overall study.Basing on this situation,this paper studies and discusses the training model of pragmatic competence of 3 sets of textbooks,aims to find a better way of textbook compilation to develop pragmatic competence.This paper includes 8 chapters.Chapter 1 and 2 includes literature review and the research object and methods of this paper.Chapter 3,4,5 separately discusses the training model of pragmatic competence in the initial,intermediate and advanced stage.Chapter 6 analyses the changing process of training model from initial stage to advanced stage,and discusses the different trends and priority that textbooks shows during the process.Chapter 7 combines and compares the 3 sets of textbooks,looks for the inadequacy and merit of each set of textbook on the training model of pragmatic competence,then gives advices basing on the research.Chapter 8 is conclusion.This paper studies the training model of pragmatic competence through two aspects:the presentation and enhancement of pragmatic competence in the textbooks.The paper aims to make suggestions on textbook compilation to help improving the teaching of pragmatic competence.
