Behavior problems in children are the problems characterized by social maladjustment and personality deformity in the childhood. Not only does it have great negative impact on their mental and physical development,but also it can bring trouble to their family and community. In this study,the researcher summarized the reasons for as well as the current interference on behavior problems in children. In light of these and on basis of the elements, theoretical origin,hypothesis of Sandplay therapy and filial sandplay therapy,the researcher hypothesized the feasibility to intervene young children’s behavior problems with Sandplay Therapy and to introduce Sandplay to intervene behavior problems in young children.Case study was taken as the major method combined with using the design of contrast group in this research. Detailed and complete record was taken for children during the whole process of filial Sandplay therapy. The researcher depicted the characteristics of sandplay of children with behavior problems through analyzing the Sandplay process of the participants. Meanwhile,this study validated the effectiveness of interference with Sandplay for young children’s behavior problems through previous and post-testing for the contrast groups. The research has reached following conclusions:(1)Both individual and filial Sandplay therapy are effective in intervening behavior problems in young children.(2)In intervening behavior problems in young children,there is no significant difference between individual and filial Sandplay therapy.(3)Sandplay Therapy can help both children and their mother to catharsis feelings and allaviate stress effectively. In addition,filial Sandplay therapy also promote the positive development of the parent-child relationship. This study depicted the Sandplay process clearly through detailed analysis of Sandplay cases. |
