Analysis Of The Expression And Clinical Significance Of POSTN In Head And Neck Squamous Carcinoma Based On TCGA Database | | Posted on:2022-11-29 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:M Zhang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2504306779481744 | Subject:Computer Software and Application of Computer | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective:The differential expression of POSTN in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and its significance for the development of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma were analyzed using online databases and bioinformatics methods to find new biomarkers for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.Methods:The Tumor Genome Atlas(TCGA)public database was used to obtain basic information on patients with head and neck squamous carcinoma,POSTN expression;subject operating characteristic curve(ROC)analysis of the diagnostic value of POSTN for head and neck squamous carcinoma;Kaplan-Meier survival curves to analyze the prognosis of head and neck squamous carcinoma patients with different POSTN expression levels;Tumor Immunity Estimation Resource(TIMER)database to analyze the correlation between POSTN and various immune cell infiltrates in head and neck squamous carcinoma;Gene Expression Profile Interaction Analysis(GEPIA)database to analyze the correlation between POSTN and immune cell markers;Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)gene enrichment analysis to explore the function of POSTN co-expressed genes and their pathways of action.Results:TCGA public database analysis showed that POSTN was highly expressed in head and neck squamous carcinoma tissues;POSTN has a good diagnostic value for head and neck squamous carcinoma;patients with high POSTN expression had a poor prognosis;the cumulative survival rate of head and neck squamous carcinoma patients correlated with the degree of infiltration of multiple immune cells,and POSTN expression levels were positively correlated with the degree of macrophage infiltration in head and neck squamous carcinoma GO and KEGG enrichment analysis showed that POSTN was associated with multiple biological processes in the extracellular matrix.The differences in all results were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:POSTN is highly expressed in head and neck squamous carcinoma tissues,and it may contribute to poor patient prognosis by modulating tumor immune processes. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | POSTN, squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, survival analysis, immune infiltration, macrophage polarization | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
