Purpose:The relationship between estrogen receptor(ER)and progestogen receptor(PR)expression levels and the prevalence of uterine fibroids in different age groups was analyzed. Methods :A total of 80 patients with uterine fibroids treated by surgery in Chizhou Second People,s Hospital from May 2014 to May 2019 were selected as the research objects, including 20 patients under 30 years old,30 to 40 years old(including 30 years old),40 to 50 years old(including 40 years old)and over 50 years old(including 50 years old).Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of estrogen receptor in uterine fibroids. Results:The positive expressions of estrogen receptor ER and progesterone receptor PR in fibroids of all age groups were as follows: the highest expression level of estrogen progesterone receptor was found in patients over 50 years old,the lowest was found in patients under 30 years old,and the middle level was found in patients 30-40 years old and 40-50 years old, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion : The occurrence of patients’ uterine fibroids is related to the expression activity of estrogen and progesterone receptor. The expression characteristics of estrogen and progesterone receptor activity in all age groups are the highest in patients over 50 years old and the lowest in patients under 30 years old.The expression levels of ER and PR may be positively correlated with age groups.Serum estrogen level is involved in the formation of uterine fibroids and the high expression of local estrogen level and the number and binding of estrogen receptor is the main factor of perimenopausal uterine fibroids proliferation.
