In the last decade, stroke has been the leading cause of disability in the elderly.According to the 2019 statistics, among stroke patients in my country, the number of elderly people can be as high as 12 million, and this figure is still growing at a rate of8% per year. Therefore, the aim of this study is to improve the ability of the elderly to live daily life by examining the improvement of limb function in stroke patients through functional training.Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of interventional functional training on upper limb function in the elderly after stroke. Methods: This study used the literature data method, survey, experiment method and math statistics method to select the elderly recovering from stroke in the Rehabilitation Department of Anshan Changda Hospital,Liaoning Province.divided into two categorys. The experimental group received a 60-minute functional training and routine rehabilitation intervention five times a week. The control group received routine hospital treatment, including acupuncture, electrostimulation therapy, and drug therapy. Before and after screening of the elderly during the post-stroke recovery period,Brunnstrom Scale,Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Assessment(FMA),Daily Activity Scale,Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale(SAS),Depression Self-Assessment Scale(SDS),nine-well test duration column and active dorsiflexion of the wrist were used for testing and data collection, and the data was processed and analyzed using mathematical statistics.Test results: 1.In terms of upper limb function, the Brunnstrom(Brunnstrom)classification of the elderly in the experimental group before and after training was significantly different(P <0.05),and the improvement effect was better than in the control group.Among them,in terms of hand function, both the experimental and control groups showed an improvement in Brunnstrom’s scores before and after training, and the regeneration effect of the former was better than the latter(P <0.05).In terms of the assessment of the motor function of the upper limbs, the FMA results of the upper limbs of the elderly in both groups improved compared to the results before the treatment and there was a significant difference in the results after the experimental intervention(p <0.05).In terms of the active range of dorsiflexion of the wrist joints of the upper limbs, the range of active dorsiflexion of the wrist joints in the elderly in both groups after training was lower than before the intervention(p <0.05),and the range of active dorsiflexion of the wrist joints in the elderly, the experimental group improved better than the control group. In terms of arm flexibility, the nine-well column test in both groups after training was lower than before treatment, and the improvement in the nine-well column test in the experimental group was better than in the control group(P<0.05).2.In terms of the ability to live daily life, the results of the elderly in both groups were higher than before the intervention, and the results after the intervention were significantly different(p <0.05).was higher than in the control group.3.In terms of anxiety after the intervention exercise, the results of the elderly in both groups were lower than before the treatment, and the effect of improving the results of the elderly in the experimental group was better than in the control group(P <0.01).4.In terms of depression, the SDS results of both groups after training were both lower than before treatment. After the experiment, there was a significant difference in the scores of both groups of patients(P <0.05).Research conclusion: 1.12 weeks of functional training can improve the extent of active dorsiflexion of the wrist joints of the upper limbs in the elderly after a stroke and improve the mobility of the hands of older patients, thereby further improving their ability to live during the day.2.12 weeks of functional training can effectively reduce anxiety and depression in the elderly during stroke recovery.3.Compared to the rehabilitation training alone, the addition of a functional training intervention for 12 weeks has a better effect on improving the function of the upper limb and hand in elderly patients.
