Objective This meta-analysis aims to come to a judgment the clinical value of LncRNAs as a prognostic marker and potential clinicopathological value in small cell lung cancer(SCLC).Methods With the help of computer means,search for eligible studies in the three English databases of PubMed,Embase,and The Cochrane Library,and the four Chinese data bases of CNKI,Wan-fang,VIP and Chinese Biomedical Literature.The time frame is set to b uild the library to May 2020,thus starting Research on the correlation between LncRNA overexpression and the prognosis of small cell lung cancer.Through the proficient mastery of meta-analysis techniques and pre-experiments in the early stage,two people independently completed a literature search to construct a meta-analysis,and carried out detailed screening,confirmed that it was finally included in the original research,and carried out in-depth Meta quantitative comprehensive data analysis,using statistical software Stata 12.0 in the process.Results A total of thirteen case-control studies,including 1302 SCLC patients,were involved.The results revealed that: LncRNA overexpression patients had poor disease stage[Odds ratio,(OR)=6.10,95% confidence interval(CI)(4.69,7.93),P<0.001],poorer chemosensitivity[OR=5.17,95%CI(3.44,7.77),P<0.001],poorer survival status[OR=5.96,95%CI(4.22,8.40),P<0.001],shorter overall survival(OS)hazard ratio,(HR)=3.33,95%CI(2.65,4.19),P<0.001]and progression-free survival(PFS)[HR=4.88,95%CI(3.00,7.94),P<0.001].The results of subgroup analysis showed that differences in sample size,survival data analysis methods,and outcome index extraction methods had no effect on the final results.The sensitivity analysis results were stable.The publication bias based on the funnel chart evaluation suggested that there was a certain publication bias.Results of sensitivity analysis showed that the stability was acceptable,and the evaluation of publication bias based on funnel plot suggested that there was a certain publication bias.Conclusion High expression of LncRNA is a risk factor for poor prognosis of small cell lung cancer.The expression level of LncRNA is closely related to the clinical stage,chemotherapy sensitivity and survival status of small cell lung cancer.High expression of LncRNA can predict the poor survival rate of patients with small cell lung cancer,and may become a novel and potential prognostic marker.
