Guangdong province is hot and humid,with luxuriant plants growing,and a wide variety of medicinal plants.The herbal tea culture and medicinal diet culture prevail in the folk areas.The frequency of the use of traditional Chinese medicine by the people is very high.However,misuse of traditional Chinese medicines occurs from time to time,and the quality of traditional Chinese medicines on the market is uneven which brings great hidden dangers to the safety of medication.Some invasive alien species have medicinal value and development value.Scientific research and effective development and utilization of these plants can not only solve the problem of the shortage of Chinese medicine resources,but also make effective use of them.consulted a lot of literature,it is found that there are few relevant research materials for these plants,some plants do not have relevant research materials,and some research materials are incomplete.In view of this,this study selected 4 families,18 species of plants with medicinal value as the research object,carried out a comprehensive and systematic study on them,in order to supplement their complete pharmacognosy research data,and provide identification basis for the development and utilization of these plants.Based on the four traditional identification methods of basic identification,character identification,microscopic identification and physicochemical identification,combined with the method of molecular pharmacognosy identification,this study determined the Latin scientific name of the source plants,improved the character identification information of medicinal materials,microscopic characteristics information of plant root,stem and leaf tissue,microscopic characteristics information of dissociated tissue,microscopic characteristics information of powder,and species identification of chemical components In addition,the information of its gene sequence of nuclear genome and the sequence of psb A-trn H intergenic region of chloroplast genome in molecular biology were also included.And the contents of moisture and ash in their quality evaluation items were preliminarily determined.According to the above research results,18 kinds of medicinal plant pharmacognosy identification data were obtained.In this study,ITS gene sequence and psb A-trn H intergenic region sequence of 6 species of Euphorbiaceae and 7 species of Rubiaceae were obtained by PCR amplification and sequencing.The differences of information sites and variation sites between the two sequences were obtained by sequence alignment,and the genetic distance was analyzed.Then the phylogenetic tree was constructed by constructing the maximum parsimony evolutionary tree and the adjacent evolutionary tree,and compared with the existing classification methods to obtain the genetic classification information,which provides the research basis for the origin,regional differences and interspecific and intraspecific genetic relationships of medicinal materials.In this study,the ITS sequences of 15 plants and the psb A-trn H intergenic region sequences of 17 plants were obtained.Among them,the ITS of 1 plant and the psb A-trn H sequence of 7 plants were obtained by sequencing for the first time.The Gen Bank registration numbers of these sequences is being submitted for review.This study provides a new research idea for the comprehensive pharmacognosy research of 18 kinds of medicinal plants and plants with medicinal potential in Guangdong Province,and this study systematically observed and described these plants from the traditional four identification methods combined with DNA barcoding technology,which provided a reference for the authenticity identification,genetic relationship and further development and utilization of these plants.
