Objective The uterine transverse circular suture method is a new and improved uterine compression suture method to observe the therapeutic effect, safety, practicability and complications of this method in the treatment of uterine atony. Methods A retrospective analysis of cases of uterine atony during delivery in Shenzhen People’s Hospital and Shenzhen Yantian District People’s Hospital from January 2019 to August 2020 were the uterine transverse circular suture group and the uterine cavity gauze packing group.Three treatment methods for the uterine balloon packing group.Observe the comparison between the uterine transverse circular suture group and the other two groups, and observe the hemostatic effect and safety of the uterine transverse circular suture method. The t or χ~2 test was used to compare the general conditions and pregnancy outcomes of the three groups of hemostatic methods. Results Statistical analysis of 33 cases in the uterine transverse circular suture group,38 cases in the uterine cavity gauze packing group, and 29 cases in the uterine cavity balloon packing group. It was observed that the uterine transverse circular suture group and the other two groups had no significant differences in general conditions. There were no significant differences in the number of pregnancy, parity, gestational age and length of stay, newborn birth weight, and neonatal asphyxia rate(P>0.05).The average operation time of uterine transverse circular suture group and uterine cavity gauze packing group, uterine cavity balloon packing group was59.03±12.919(minutes),75.11±18.134(minutes),81.72±40.307(minutes),the uterine transverse circular suture group was significantly lower than the other two groups(P<0.05).Intrauterine transverse circular suture group, intrauterine gauze packing group, and intrauterine balloon packing group were 437.88±187.096(ml),727.63±308.593(ml),and 953.103±410.262(ml),respectively.The bleeding was 24 hours postpartum. The amounts were 580.88±244.899(ml),833.08±327.459(ml),and1474.17±664.465(ml).The three groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The amount of bleeding during labor and 24-hour postpartum bleeding in the transverse circular suture group. The amount is significantly lower than the other two groups. In the uterine cavity gauze packing group,2 cases found that the suture hooked on the gauze when pulling out the gauze, which caused the gauze to be left for the second time. The 1 case was re-bleed after the gauze was pulled and the balloon was packed and improved. In the uterine balloon packing group,3 cases failed to place the uterine balloon after the operation, but succeeded in using other methods to stop bleeding. One case suffered hemorrhagic shock after vaginal delivery, and the symptomatic treatment improved. The three methods of hemostasis did not have hysterectomy and serious complications. Conclusion Three groups of methods in the treatment of uterine atony have good hemostatic effect. The uterine transverse circular suture method has short operation time, obvious hemostatic effect, and simple operation. It is simple and easy to master, and has a good effect on the treatment and prevention of postpartum hemorrhage and reduction of hysterectomy. It can provide more options for the treatment of uterine atony contractions in resource-poor areas and basic hospitals. The uterine transverse circular suture method is safe and effective in the treatment of uterine atony and is worthy of promotion. The treatment of uterine atony after cesarean section and vaginal delivery has its limitations, and its long-term complications need further observation.
