| Object To detect the expression of PrPC and FOXP3 in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma(OSCC)and adjacent tissues,explore the relationship between the expression of PrPC and FOXP3 and the clinicopathological parameters and prognosis of OSCC patients,and the relationship between the expression of PRPC and FOXP3 in OSCC Sex,increase new understanding of the mechanism of OSCC and look for potential treatments.Methods Collected 156 OSCC paraffin tissue specimens and 96 paracancerous tissue specimens that underwent surgical treatment in our hospital from 2007 to 2020 and were diagnosed and archived in the pathology department.The clinical data,pathological information and prognosis of the specimen patients were collected through the medical record database and follow-up details Understand and record.The immunohistochemical technique was used to detect the expression of PrPC and FOXP3 in different tissues,and SPSS21.0 was used to statistically analyze the relationship between the two and the progress of OSCC and the correlation between the expression of the two in OSCC.Results 1.Compared with adjacent tissues,PrPC and FOXP3 are significantly higher in OSCC(χ~2=118.223,P<0.001;χ~2=32.825,P<0.001).2.The high expression of PrPC is related to the age of OSCC patients(χ~2=4.605,P=0.032),degree of differentiation(χ~2=7.408,P=0.006),T stage(χ~2=10.494,P=0.001)and TNM stage(χ~2=9.960,P=0.002),but no significant correlation with gender and lymph node metastasis(P>0.05).The high expression of FOXP3 is correlated with the T stage(χ~2=6.843,P=0.009)and TNM stage(χ~2=6.032,P=0.014)of OSCC patients;there is no significant correlation with gender,age,degree of differentiation,lymph node metastasis,etc.(P>0.05).3.Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that the survival time of patients with high expression of PrPC and FOXP3 in OSCC was significantly shorter than that of patients with low expression of PrPC and FOXP3(χ~2=8.855,P=0.003;χ~2=7.006,P=0.008).4.Cox single factor shows that T stage(P=0.032,HR:1.886,95%CI=1.058~3.363)and TNM stage(P=0.032,HR:1.901,95%CI=1.058~3.414),the high of PrPC Expression(P=0.005,HR:2.455, 95%CI=1.317~4.574)and high expression of FOXP3(P=0.012;HR:2.320,95%CI=1.207~4.458)are important factors in the Cox regression model.Cox multi-factors verified the high expression of PrPC (P=0.031,HR:2.019,95%CI=1.067~3.818),the high expression of FOXP3(P=0.017,HR:2.249,95%CI=1.157~4.371)and OSCC The death of the patient is related and is an independent prognostic factor for OSCC patients.5.Spearman correlation showed that the expression of PrPC and FOXP3 in OSCC was positively correlated(r=0.175,P=0.029).Conclusion PrPC and FOXP3 are highly expressed in OSCC,and their expressions are positively correlated and have a synergistic effect.Both are meaningful for evaluating the biological behavior and prognosis of OSCC. |
