Objective: To compare the clinical therapeutic effect and quality of life of bladder conserving combined therapy and radical cystectomy in the treatment of stage T2 muscular infiltrating bladder cancer. Methods: Clinical data of 120 MIBC cases were collected in our hospital.82 patients of observation group were treated with transurethral1470 laser resection. After the operation, these patients treated with postoperative regular BCG bladder perfusion therapy and combined treatment with GC chemotherapy.38 patients of the control group were treated with radical cystectomy and urinary diversion. Results: The observation group had shorter operative time, lower intraoperative blood loss, shorter hospitalization time, and lower complications rate(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between RFS(74.4% vs.78.9%)and 3-year OS(88.1% vs.87.8%)(P>0.05),the postoperative quality of life score was much higher in the comprehensive treatment group with bladder preservation(77.83±9.18 vs.60.74±12.40)(P<0.05).Conclusion: The tumor recurrence has no statistically significant difference between observation group and control group. But significantly improved patients’ quality of life and reduced surgical complications, making it a viable treatment option for highly selective T2 muscular infiltrating bladder cancer.
