Objective:To analyze the value of quantitative MR of knee joint in evaluating the patterns of ACL injury, and to explore its relationship with knee joint stability. Methods:The relevant quantitative indicators were measured on conventional and 3D-DESS sequences of MRI images on normal adult volunteers and patients with ACL injury(partial or complete tear).Record the scanning time as well as the results of Lachman test and Axis shift test on the scanning day.Comparing the quantitative indexes*(αangle、ATT、FTA、BCW、MCW、LCW、NW、NWI、NWA)between groups, then analyzing the relationship between each index and the results of physical examination. Results:The α angle in ACL injury group(P < 0.001),partial tear group(P =0.003)and complete tear group(P < 0.001)was larger than that in normal group;ATT in injury group(P < 0.001),complete tear group(P < 0.001)was larger than that in normal group;ATT in complete tear group was larger than that in partial tear group(P < 0.001);FTA in injury group(P <0.001),partial tear group(P = 0.003)and complete tear group(P < 0.001)001)was larger than that in normal group;and the NWI in the injury group(P = 0.005),partial tear group(P = 0.020)and complete tear group(P = 0.011)was larger than that in normal group. The results of Lachman test were significantly correlated with ATT,and the results of ATT > 4.1mm indicated that Lachman test was positive, but there was no statistical difference between the hard stop group and the soft stop group, and there was no statistical difference between the rest quantitative indexes group. The results of Axial shift test were significantly correlated with ATT and FTA.The results of ATT >6.35 mm and FTA > 5.85 °indicated that the Axial shift test was positive. Conclusion:NW、NWI and αangles can assess the risk of ACL injury;ATT can distinguish the tear pattern,FTA can distinguish the normal ACL from the partial tear;there is no evidence that the ACL walking affects its tear pattern.ATT、FTA can assess knee stability.
