Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of 125 I particles combined with chemotherapy and chemotherapy alone in the treatment of pancreatic cancer, and to provide an effective reference for the clinical treatment of pancreatic cancer. Methods:The clinical data of 50 patients with pancreatic cancer treated in Gansu Provincial Hospital from January 2016 to June 2020 were collected. The patients who received 125 I seeds combined with systemic chemotherapy were selected as the observation group, and only the patients treated with systemic chemotherapy were taken as the control group.Collect the patient’s general information before treatment, namely: gender, age, symptoms, tumor location, size,TNM stage and metastasis, record the tumor size and laboratory indicators(CEA,CA125,CA199,etc.)before and 2 months after treatment of different regimens. To analyze the side effects, complications and Median Survival Time(MST)after different treatments, and plot the survival curve. The above data were statistically analyzed by SPSS24.0.Results:(1)Short-term curative effect: Compared with before treatment, the results of reexamination 2 months after treatment showed that the objective response rate and disease control rate in the observation group were 38.09% and 85.71%,while those in the control group were 10.34% and 51.72%(P=0.014),which was a significant difference;(2)Tumor markers: Removing the invalid data before and after treatment, the CEA,CA125 and CA199 decreased by 70%,58.8% and 50% in the observation group after 2 months of treatment, while 47.6%,29.4% and 66.7% decreased in the control group;(3)Adverse reactions and complications: the incidence of nausea and vomiting, myelosuppression, liver function damage, and rash in the observation group were about 66.7%,52.4%,9.5% and 4.8%,while those in the control group were 58.6%,55.2%,13.8% and 3.4%(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference; In addition, there were 3 cases of fever,3 cases of elevated hemogram,1 case of gastrointestinal perforation,1 case of gastrointestinal bleeding and 2 cases of particle migration were seen in the observation group, all of which were considered to be caused by seed implantation and were effectively relieved after symptomatic treatment, and there was no death;(4)Survival condition: The average and median survival time of the observation group were(12.81±0.59)months and 12 months, while those in the control group were(8.27±0.43)months and 9 months(P<0.05),which was significantly different;(5)Influencing factors:The treatment method is an independent risk factor that affects the prognosis of pancreatic cancer. Conclusion:The short-term efficacy of 125 I particles combined with chemotherapy in pancreatic cancer is significantly better than that of chemotherapy alone, which can effectively prolong the median survival time of patients with pancreatic cancer;moreover, the safety of combined therapy is reliable and worthy of clinical practice promotion.
