ObjectiveTo explore the clinical significance of systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)combined with carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in peripheral blood for early diagnosis and screening of colorectal cancer.MethodsA retrospective analysis of colorectal cancer patients who were diagnosed for the first time in the Medical College from January 2017 to December 2018 and did not undergo surgery.The information of 151 colorectal cancer patients was collected as the research group,and the information of 110 healthy medical examiners as the control group.Collecting information including preoperative neutrophils,lymphocytes,platelets,CEA in peripheral blood,as well as the gender,age and the pathological diagnosis of a patient,then statistically analyze the collected information.ResultsThe differences in SII,CEA,and their combined indicators in patients with colorectal cancer were statistically significant compared with the healthy group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in gender and age between the study group and the control group(P>0.05).The ROC curve shows that the sensitivity of SII for diagnosing colorectal cancer is 68.90%,the specificity is 86.40%,and the area under the curve(AUC)is 0.85.The sensitivity of CEA in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer is 47.60%,the specificity is 95.50%,and the AUC is 0.73.The sensitivity of the combination of SII and CEA for the diagnosis of colorectal cancer is 73.80%,and the specificity is 90.90%,AUC is 0.89.Conclusion(1)The ROC curve shows that SII has high diagnostic efficiency,sensitivity,and specificity for the early diagnosis of colorectal cancer.(2)SII combined with CEA can improve the sensitivity and diagnostic efficiency of the diagnosis of colorectal cancer.
