Background:Juvenile idiopathic arthritis(JIA)is a common chronic autoimmune disease characterized by chronic synovitis of the joints, accompanied by systemic multi-organ functional damage, and even death. The secondary cause of death in JIA is morbidity, such as cardiovascular diseases.Dyslipidemia is listed as one of the important risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. Therefore,it is extremely important to study the influencing factors and preventive measures of dyslipidemia in JIA patients. Objective: To investigate the progression of the lipid profile in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and analysis the related factors. Methods: Taking 51 cases with JIA as researching group, including 10 cases of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis,9 cases of enthesitis related JIA,17 cases of oligo-arthritis and 15 cases of poly-arthritis,and 45 healthy subjects as normal control group, the serum levels of total cholesterol(TC)、triglyceride(TG)、low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)、high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)in each group and the levels of erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)、C-creative protein(CRP)in active group were measured. The correlation between TC 、TG、LDL-C、HDL-C and ESR、CRP were analyzed.Results:(1)49.02%JIA patients had hyperlipemia.Among JIA patients,TG elevation accounted for 24.75%,TC elevation accounted for 13.73%,HDL-C reduction accounted for25.49%,LDL-C elevation accounted for 1.96%.(2)The serum levels of TG、LDL-C、TC/HDLC in the JIA group were significantly higher than that in control group, while the levels of HDL-C were significantly lower.Relating to the inactive period, the dyslipidemia also had the same manifestation in the active group.(3)There were positive correlation between TC/HDL-C and ESR、CRP,while negative between HDL-C and ESR、CRP.(4)The serum levels of TG、TC/HDL-C in the SOJIA and poly-arthritis group were significantly higher than that in control group, the levels of LDL-C in SOJIA group was significantly higher than that in control group, while the levels of HDL-C was significantly lower. The serum lipid levels of other subtypes were not statistically significant compared with the healthy control group. Conclusions: Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in patients developed JIA.Dyslipidemia in JIA patients seems to play an important role in the initiation and development of atherosclerosis, and there are significant differences of serum lipid levels between the active and inactive period. In conclusion,JIA patients with dyslipidemia should be paying more attention to have advantaged manifestations,to diagnosis and treat earlier, and reduce the mortality and morbidity.
