| Objective: the purpose of this study is to observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with manual reduction in the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo,to provide a simple and effective treatment for patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, and to explore the important role of acupuncture in the treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo,so as to provide a certain basis for clinical promotion. Methods: From November 2019 to October 2020,72 patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, aged 18-70 years, were selected from the Department of Otorhinolaryngology,Jilin Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine. All the patients met the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.A total of 72 patients were randomly divided into two groups,36 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupuncture once a day,two weeks as a course of treatment,a total of 14 times. The control group was treated with simple manipulative reduction. After treatment, the curative effect of the patients was evaluated, and the changes of Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)and TCM syndrome score before and after treatment were observed. All the data were input into the database and analyzed by SPSS25.0 software. Results: 1.Before treatment,TCM syndrome scores of the two groups were comparable(P > 0.05).The total score of DHI and the scores of body, function and emotion in DHIbefore and after treatment in the two groups were statistically significant(P < 0.05);2.Total score of DHI: the total score of DHI in the two groups after treatment was statistically tested,P = 0.038(P < 0.05).The total score of DHI in the two groups after treatment was statistically significant, and the total score of DHI in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group. The average total score of the treatment group(9.88 ± 6.22)was lower than that of the control group(12.94 ± 5.35).It shows that the treatment group is better than the control group in improving vertigo symptoms.3.Specific scores in DHI: the comparison of body scores in DHI between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment group had more advantages in improving body symptoms than the control group. There was no significant difference in the scores of DHI function and emotion between the two groups after treatment(P > 0.05).4.TCM syndrome: after treatment, the change of score of TCM syndrome in the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The improvement of TCM symptoms and signs in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group. The effective rate was 93.94% in the treatment group and 84.38% in the control group. Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with manipulative reduction is effective in the treatment of benignparoxysmal positional vertigo. In the process of treating benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, acupuncture combined with manipulative reduction and simple manipulative reduction are both effective in the improvement of vertigo and the reduction of DHI score, and the effect of acupuncture combined with manipulative reduction is more significant.Acupuncture combined with manual reduction for patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo has strong operability, safety, effectiveness and easy to accept, which is worthy of promotion in clinical practice. |
