Abstract/Summary:
Objective:The aim of this study was to assess the impact of Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio on neoadjuvant chemotherapy pathology and prognosis in breat cancer. Methods: The relevant English literatures and Chinese literatures published until July 2020 were retrieved from English databases such as Pub Med,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Embase and Chinese databases such as CNKI,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,Wanfang,Weipu and other Chinese databases according to the searching strategies.Inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were developed by two reviewers respectively selected standard and the quality evaluation of the literature of the relevant literature, check the two as a result, any different resolved through discussion, after extraction into relevant data in the literature, using a random effects model or a fixed effect model to merge the results summary.Results:Finally,14 articles conforming to the standards were included, including 3344 breast cancer patients.Meta analysis results showed that high NLR was associated with lower neoadjuvant chemotherapy response in breast cancer patients(OR=2.79,95%CI:1.90-4.09,P<0.001).High NLR was also related to poor overall survival(HR=1.67,95%CI:1.38-2.02,P<0.001),disease-free survival(HR=2.08,95% CI:1.66-2.60,P<0.001),and recurrence-free survival(HR=2.02,95%CI:1.45-2.82,P<0.001).Conclusion:NLR may be a biomarker for answer and prognosis of Preoperative chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. The response and prognosis of breast cancer patients with elevated NLR to Preoperative chemotherapy are not good.Clinical solicitude should be showed for NLR index to make breast cancer patients get validly treatment.
