| Objective: To explore the application value of multi-slice spiral CT combined with texture analysis in the differential diagnosis of primary pelvic bone tumors and tumor-like lesions. Methods: CT imaging data of 73 patients(total 73 lesions)diagnosed by pathology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January2014 to November 2020 were retrospectively collected. There were 16 benign bone tumors,29 malignant bone tumors and 28 tumor-like lesions. The benign bone tumors included 10 cases of giant cell tumor and 6 cases of os-teochondroma.The malignant bone tumors included chondrosarcoma in 11 cases, osteosarcoma in 12 cases and chordoma in 6 cases.Tumor-like lesions included simple bone cyst in 10 cases, aneurysmal bone cyst in 7 cases, and hydatid bone in 11 cases.Routine CT findings were evaluated, including lesion location, size, margin, density, type of bone destruction, tumor growth, and type of intratumoral calcification. The maximum layer of each lesion was selected and the region of interest was delineated by texture analysis software, and the histogram of first-order texture parameters was extracted.Subjective CT signs were metrological data, which were tested by chi-square test of R×C contingency table. The texture feature parameters were counted data.One-way analysis of variance(LSD t-test)was used to compare the parameters with statistical significance between the groups. The ROC curve was drawn and the diagnostic efficiency was evaluated. Results: In CT signs, there were statistically significant differences in lesion size, edge, density, type of bone destruction, type of intratumoral calcification and tumor growth among the three groups(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in tumor location and among the three groups(P>0.05).Among the texture analysis parameters,pere.10%and pere.99%showed statistically significant differences among the three groups(P<0.05).The AUC values of pere.10%and pere.99%combined diagnosis of pelvic malignancy and tumoroid change, and pelvic benign tumor and tumor-oid change were 0.638 and 0.795,respectively,and there was no statistically significant difference in the remaining texture parameters between the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: Conventional CT signs combined with texture analysis can effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of the differential diagnosis of pelvic tumors and tumor-like lesions. |
