| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of Baicao gufei ointment in treating Cough Variant Asthma with deficiency of Qi and Yin.Methods: From October 2018 to May 2019,60 patients with Cough Variant Asthma with deficiency of Qi and Yin were clinically diagnosed in the outpatient department of pulmonary disease,Shijiazhuang hospital of traditional Chinese medicine.The random number table method was used to divide the patients into two groups,namely the treatment group and the control group,30 cases each.The control group was given Montelukast sodium tablets orally,and the treatment group was given Baicao gufei ointment(preparation of the department of Shijiazhuang hospital of traditional Chinese medicine)orally.Both groups took 8 weeks as a course of treatment,a total of 1 course of treatment.Respectively on two groups of patients before and after treatment of TCM syndrome integral and Visual Analogue Scale,the first second forced expiratory volume percentage of expected maximum expiratory flow of normal expected,percentage of breath levels of nitric oxide,percentage of eosinophils and security index data,SPSS25.0 statistical software was used to collection and statistical analysis,in order to evaluate the treatment methods of this test two clinical efficacy and safety.Results:(1)Efficacy comparison of TCM syndromes: the total score of TCM syndrome in the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome was 86.67% in the treatment group and 60.00% in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group.(2)Single score comparison of TCM symptoms: before and after treatment,single scores of cough,sputum,dry mouth,dry throat and shortness of breath in the treatment group were statistically significant(P<0.05).The single score of cough and sputum in the control group was lower than that before,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the control group,the individual scores of dry mouth,dry throat and shortness of breath showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).After treatment,individual scores of the two groups were compared between the two groups,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was superior to the control group.(3)Comparison of VAS scores: before and after treatment,VAS scores of the two groups were compared within the group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the average score of the treatment group was 3.53 ± 1.31,and that of the control group was 4.37±1.03.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group.(4)Comparison of physical and chemical indicators:before and after treatment,the percentage of forced expiratory volume in the first second,the percentage of maximum expiratory flow in the expected value,the level of exhaled nitric oxide and the percentage of eosinophil in the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,all indicators of the two groups were compared between the two groups,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the treatment group was superior to the control group in lung function and inflammation improvement.(5)Comparison of safety indicators: before and after treatment,no abnormal safety indicators were found in the two groups,and no obvious abnormalities were found in the results of liver and kidney function and electrocardiogram,indicating that the two treatment methods have a good safety.Conclusion: Baicao gufei ointment can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of cough variant asthma with deficiency of Qi and Yin,and has the effects of reducing airway inflammation,reducing airway hyperreactivity and improving lung function without any adverse reactions.It shows the advantages of TCM syndrome differentiation and paste prescription in the treatment of cough variant asthma. |
