BackgroundDiarrhea disease is a kind of digestive tract syndrome caused by multiple etiology and pathogens. It is one of the diseases with high incidence of children. It is also a common cause of death among children under five years of age.As the digestive system of infants and young children is not fully developed, diet, intestinal flora and other factors are more likely to induce diarrhea disease, among which the incidence of diarrhea disease in children is still relatively high in rural areas. With the improvement of public medical and health conditions in rural areas, the medical level has been significantly improved, which requires the majority of grassroots doctors, medical personnel, general practitioners in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diarrhea disease to master more skilled knowledge related to pediatric diarrhea. Therefore, how to quickly identify, identify and treat diarrheal diseases,in order to protect the lives and health of the majority of children, reduce its related complications, reduce the mortality rate, for the majority of grassroots medical personnel appear more important.ObjectiveThe purpose of this research is to investigate the knowledge of the medical staff of some township hospitals in Xinxiang City on the liquid therapy for children with diarrhea, and to initially understand the basic knowledge of diarrhea in children, the level of fluid therapy, and to explore and analyze the factors that affect their mastery,In order to take appropriate appropriate interventions,in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment of infantile diarrhea of grassroots health workers to provide certain reference basis.MethodsFrom May 2019 to may 2020,stratified cluster sampling method was used to randomly select 4 counties from 7 counties in Xinxiang City, and 4 township health centers were randomly selected from 4 counties.A total of 490 grass-roots medical staff were selected as the survey objects. The knowledge of liquid therapy for infantile diarrhea among grass-roots medical staff in Xinxiang City was analyzed by questionnaire At the same time,to understand the influencing factors of the knowledge of liquid therapy for infantile diarrhea among primary medical staff.Count data were expressed by percentage or frequency.Univariate analysis with statistical significance entered multivariate analysis.Multivariate analysis used logistic analysis,P < 0.05 was the difference was statistically significant.Results1.A total of 490 questionnaires were distributed and 428 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective rate of 87.35%.2.The score of basic knowledge of diarrhea disease related to liquid therapy was13.65 ± 2.57,of which the score of basic knowledge of diarrhea was 7.21 ± 0.19,and the score of liquid therapy knowledge was 5.94 ± 0.16.For children with diarrhea, the mastery of related knowledge about liquid therapy is not balanced, among which the mastery of basic knowledge is better than that of liquid therapy, and the correct rate of partial knowledge of liquid therapy is lower.3.The results showed that gender, length of service, age, type of practice, education background and professional title were related to the mastery of liquid therapy for infantile diarrhea.Among them, the score of female was 13.94 ±2.53,which was better than that of male;in terms of length of service, medical staff of 11~20 years had a better mastery;in terms of educational background, the mastery level of medical staff with bachelor degree was better;in terms of professional titles, intermediate mastering was better than junior.4.Taking the mastery of liquid therapy for infantile diarrhea as the dependent variable, logistic multivariate analysis showed that working age,age and education background were related to the mastery of liquid therapy for infantile diarrhea, and the differences were statistically significant. In terms of age, taking < 25 years old as the reference, the mastery level of children with diarrhea disease in 26-35 years old,36-45 years old and > 46 years old was better than that of < 25 years old(P < 0.001),and the difference was statistically significant(or = 2.07,2.35,1.36,CI: 3.253-4.522,4.273-5.638,3.655-6.380);in terms of length of service, taking < 5 years as the reference,5-10 years,11-20 years and > 20 years were better than the reference(P < 0.001)The difference was statistically significant(or =2.40,2.51,1.33,CI: 4.130-5.235,4.883-6.099,3.364-5.819);in terms of educational background, the mastery level of children with diarrhea in junior college and undergraduate level was better(P < 0.001),and the difference was statistically significant(or = 2.28,2.40,CI: 3.998-4.888,5.108-6.170).5.The common reasons affecting the basic medical staff to master the knowledge of liquid therapy for infantile diarrhea: the number of pediatricians is small(92.06%),the lack of working experience and systematic pediatric knowledge(77.80%),less attention to the latest progress of pediatric diarrhea and related knowledge(71.26%),less training on pediatric diarrhea and related knowledge(67.29%),and lack of awareness of the risk of water and electrolyte disorders(63.55%).Conclusions1.The medical staff of township hospitals have a better grasp of basic knowledge of pediatric diarrhea than fluid therapy, but the level of fluid therapy is lower.2.Age,length of service, and educational background have an influence on the mastery of fluid therapy for children with diarrhea in medical staff in township hospitals.3.The factors influencing the mastery level of diarrhea related knowledge of liquid therapy of primary medical staff are: less pediatric specialists, less pediatric system knowledge, less relevant training, etc.Through the introduction of talents, knowledgetraining, and standardized training of general practitioners,we can improve the level of basic medical staff’s knowledge of liquid therapy for diarrhea.
