Diagnostic Value Of Home Sleep Apnea Testing In Adults With OSAHS

Objectives To explore the diagnostic value of some home sleep apnea testing for obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome in adults.MethodsPART 1: Suspicious OSAHS adults referred to standard polysomnography in the sleep monitoring room of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital were selected.They completed standard polysomnography and a type III family sleep apnea testing(Alice Night One,Philips Respironics,Inc.)in the sleep monitoring room at the same time,and the data collected by the two instruments were statistically analyzed.The sensitivity and specificity.etc were calculated and the ROC curve was drawn.PART 2: Suspicious OSAHS adults who completed standard polysomnography and a type IV family sleep apnea monitoring(CPC)in the sleep monitoring room of Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital were reviewed.The two kinds of instruments collected data for statistical analysis,calculating sensitivity,specific,etc.,and make a ROC curveResultsAt PSG threshold AHI=5,15,30,the ANO derived AHI had sensitivity of 100%,95.8%,71.4%,specificity of 85.7%,93.8%,95.2%,accuracy of 94.6%,94.6%,89.3%.At PSG threshold LSa O2=90%,85%,65%,the ANO derived LSa O2 had sensitivity of 93.8%,95.2%,100%,specificity of 66.7%,88.6%,96.4%.At PSG threshold AHI=5,15,30,the sensitivity of CPC were 78.3%,66.7%,40.0%,and the specific degrees were 50.0%,50.0%,75.0%.ConclusionAlice Night One is critical for the diagnosis and exclusion of adult OSAHS,while CPC is not so satisfactory.However,CPC is better at estimating the total sleep time,and the stages of sleep structure derived can also be used as a reference in clinical practice.
