| The health financing mechanism that is adopted by the society to ensure that all the social groupings are able to access health care is essential.This goes a long way to determine the quality of life and the life expectancy of the inhabitants.The organization of an efficient health financing measure thus impacts the health care delivery.This study therefore was initiated to access if National Health Insurance Scheme as a health financing measure has any impact on health care delivery in the Adaklu Anyigbe district.This study is essential due to the fact that it adds to the pool of knowledge available in both academia and health system.The study thus adopted a descriptive research design,used the questionnaire in collecting primary data and samples selected using probability sampling methods(simple random sampling techniques).Two hundred and twenty(220)persons who had insured on the Scheme were surveyed.Statistical package for social sciences data analysis tool is used to perform descriptive and correlation analysis of the variables.The survey suggests a considerable strong correlation between National Health Insurance Scheme and health care delivery in the district.It thus revealed that anytime the people that have insured themselves on the Scheme have an experience that is positive at the various health facilities that provide health care,there will be an increase in the enrollment on the Scheme.It was also observed that the National Health Insurance Scheme impacts to a statistically significant degree.The study hence recommended to the managers of the Scheme and the health facilities to strive to provide the people with the best of service and on time. |
