| ObjectiveRandomized controlled trials to evaluate the effects of Acupuncture and Moxibustion on immune function, quality of life and TCM syndromes in patients with Non-small cell lung cancer chemotherapy undergoing lung and spleen Qi deficiency.MethodsThe patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer chemotherapy of lung and spleen qi deficiency type who were treated in the outpatient department of traditional therapy department and the ward of Oncology Department of University Town Branch of Guangdong traditional Chinese medicine hospital from June 2019 to January 2020 were selected as the research subjects, strictly in accordance with the diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria for case screening.A total of 50 cases were included in this study. They were divided into a control group and a test group using a random number table method, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional chemotherapy plus Xiangsha Liujunzi Decoction, and the experimental group was treated with the addition of acupuncture and moxibustion. The trial period was 2 courses of chemotherapy. Before and after treatment, the immune indexes, quality of life scale scores,TCM syndrome scores and adverse events were evaluated.ResultsA total of 50 cases were included in this study, randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group of 25 cases.During the course of the study,2 cases were lost in the control group,1 case was lost in the experimental group, and finally 23 cases in the control group and 24 cases in the test group were included in the analysis. There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of gender, age, pathology, stage, and chemotherapy regimen(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference in the immune indexes, quality of life scale scores, and TCM syndrome scores before treatment(P>0.05),and the baseline was consistent. In terms of immune function, the levels of CD3+T cells,CD4+T cells,CD4+/CD8+,and NK cells in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group after treatment, and the levels of CD8+T cells decreased, with a statistical difference(P<0.05);There was no significant change between the two groups of B cells and IL-6(P>0.05),and there was no significant change in the TNF-α self-control group before and after(P>0.05).In terms of quality of life, the physical function, emotional function, general health status, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, pain, insomnia, loss of appetite, and diarrhea scores of the experimental group were statistically different compared with the control group after treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in other functions or the symptom field(P>0.05).In terms of TCM syndromes, after treatment, the experimental group decreased symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, upset insomnia, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and the total score of syndromes, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in other TCM symptoms(P>0.05).During the course of treatment,no adverse events occurred in the control or experimental groups.ConclusionAcupuncture and Moxibustion can enhance the immune function of patients with advanced NSCLC chemotherapy with lung and spleen Qi deficiency by increasing the level of CD3+T cells,CD4+T cells,CD4+/CD8+,NK cells and reducing the level of CD8+T cells, and at the same time can improve the quality of life of patients and improve TCM syndrome. |
