Objective:This study was to understand the status and related relationships of illness perception, sense of coherence and treatment compliance of hypertension patients, and clarify the impact of the illness perception and sense of coherence on treatment compliance of hypertension patients.Finaily, reference materials for improving the treatment compliance of hypertension patients can be provided. Methods:This study was a descriptive study of non-experimental study.A convenient sampling method was used to investigate 283 inpatients with hypertension who met the inclusion criteria in a Grade A hospital in Jilin Province. The survey included general information, brief illness perception questionnaire, sense of coherence and therapeutic adherence scale for hypertensive patients.Data analysis using SPSS20.0 Chinese version of statistical software package, using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation,t test,ANOVA analysis,Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis statistical methods,P<0.05 indicates that differences mean statistical significance.Results:(1)The treatment compliance score of the hypertension patients were 87.78±18.43,which was at the upper-middle level. There was a statistically significant difference in treatment compliance among patients with hypertension in terms of gender, age, education, marital status, work status, average monthly income per person, course of illness, smoking and drinking status(P<0.05).(2)The illness perception score of the hypertension patients were 40.48±13.04,which was at the medium level. There was a statistically significant difference in illness perception among patients with hypertension in terms of age, ethnicity, education, marital status, work status, average monthly income per person, course of disease, blood pressure control,hypertension-related symptoms, combined chronic diseases and self-rated health status(P<0.05).(3)The sense of coherence score of the hypertension patients were 62.94±18.27,which was at the low level. There was a statistically significant difference in sense of coherence among patients with hypertension in terms of age, education, marital status, work status, average monthly income per person, course of illness and self-rated health status(P<0.05).(4)The illness perception and sense of coherence of the hypertension patients were negative correlation(r=-0.537,P<0.01),and sense of coherence was positively correlated with treatment compliance(r=0.651,P<0.01).Illness perception was negative correlated with sense of coherence(r=-0.653,P<0.01).(5)The influencing factors of treatment compliance of hypertension patients were education level, course of disease, drinking, illness perception and sense of coherence, among which sense of coherence was the most predictive.Conclusion:(1)The treatment compliance of the hypertension patients were at the upper-middle level, and age 70 years old and above, female, college degree or above, married, incumbent, average monthly income per person of 3000 yuan or more, course of disease 25 years or more,do not smoke and do not drink have better treatment compliance.(2)The illness perception of the hypertension patients were at the medium level, and age 70 years old and above,Korean nationality, college degree or above, married, incumbent, average monthly income per person of 3000 yuan or more, course of disease 15 years or more, blood pressure control compliance,no hypertension related symptoms,no combined chronic disease and self-rated health good hypertension patients have better disease perception.(3)The sense of coherence of the hypertension patients were at the low level, and age 80 years old and above, college degree or above, married, incumbent, average monthly income per person of 3000 yuan or more, course of disease 15 years or more and self-rated health good hypertension patients have better sense of coherence.(4)The higher the illness perception of hypertensive patients, the lower the treatment compliance;the higher the sense of coherence, the higher the treatment compliance;the higher the illness perception, the lower the sense of coherence.(5)The results show that the influence factors of treatment compliance obtain education level, course of disease, drinking, illness perception and sense of coherence, and among them, psychological consistency has the greatest influence, and the higher the sense of coherence, the higher the treatment compliance.
