Clinical Observation On Treating Trigeminal Neuralgia With Chai Ge Sheng Jiang San In Terms Of "Shao Yang Huo Yu" And "Yangming Meridian Obstruction"

Objective: To observe and evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chai Ge Sheng San(Xiao Chai Hu Tang and Ge Gen Qi Lian Decoction,lifting and dispersing)in the treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia Shaoyang Huoyu and Yangming Luozu.And theoretical discussion on "from the Shaoyang Huoyu,Yangming Luozu to treat primary trigeminal neuralgia",providing a new dialectical thinking and treatment for Chinese medicine treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia.Methods:Sixty two patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into a treatment group and a control group using a randomized controlled trial.Among them,31 patients in the treatment group were treated with carbamazepine tablets and Chinese herbal medicine Chai Ge lifting powder;31 patients in the control group were treated with carbamazepine tablets.Both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the two groups before and after treatment and the changes of the quantifier scores of TCM syndromes of primary trigeminal neuralgia were observed before and after treatment.Results:In the evaluation of the efficacy of the VAS analog scale,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.67%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 86.67%.The treatment group was better than the control group;both groups could reduce the frequency of pain attacks,and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group.In the improvement of TCM syndromes,the two groups of patients improved in TCM syndrome scores,the treatment group was significantly better than the control group;the control group was dry stool,chest pain,stuffy mouth,throat dryness,thirst,tinnitus In terms of scoring,the effect is not obvious.Conclusion: It can effectively relieve the pain degree of primary trigeminal neuralgia,improve the symptoms and signs of the patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia,and there is no obvious side effect in this prescription.It is worth further research and promotion.
