In the 19 th CPC National Congress,President Xi Jinping clearly stated to implement Healthy China strategy.And prevention-centered health concept has become the main theme of the development of the big health industry.In recent years,along with the development of the economy,an aging population,changing eating habits and increasing obesity have intensified the rising trend of chronic diseases.Reports had showed that chronic disease mortality is as high as 71%,and 75% of people worldwide are in sub-health status.Improving a healthy lifestyle is an effective strategy to reduce mortality and improve quality of life.E-health services provided by the Internet,especially self-tracking services,offer great potential for expanding the scope of public health implementation,improving health and intervening in health.This paper aims to study the use of sports and fitness apps and personal health information management(PHIM)behavior in everyday life.It provides a reference for supporting the design of everyday life PHIM tools,improving health care services,and providing new insights into health information research.First of all,this paper introduces the term “everyday life PHIM” and builds a daily PHIM framework by combing the relevant theories of information management and self-tracking.And it t attempts to describe PHIM behavior in a non-medical context to illustrate people how acquire,organize,store,find,use and share personal health information in everyday life.Secondly,this paper analyzes everyday PHIM behaviors based on everyday PHIM framework from a quantitative and qualitative perspective through a questionnaire survey conducted among 417 users and interview conducted among 28 users and summarize everyday PHIM needs and behavior characteristics.Thirdly,the optimized strategy of everyday PHIM is elaborated from the two dimensions of practice and tools.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Everyday PHIM needs mainly includes fitness needs and health needs.The fitness needs is mainly derived from the user’s physical exercise;the health needs is macro level.(2)Everyday PHIM is divided into four stages,including Preparation,Tracking,Performance and Lapsing.In this process,Keeping activities and Finding activities are gradually weakened,and M-level activities is continuously strengthened.The characteristics of Everyday PHIM behavior mainly include goal-driven,temporary,recording,social and entertainment.(3)There are differences between Everyday and Medical PHIM,which are reflected in differences in needs,behaviors,and tools.(4)The PHIM tools on the market are not designed for everyday PHIM and have not yet met some of the user’s needs.It can optimize the design of Everyday PHIM tools from functional and non-functional,and enhance the socialization and gamification of Everyday PHIM,and let users get emotional support and fun in their leisure time.
