| Background.Clopidogrel inhibits the ADP receptor to keep down the platelet aggregation. The goal of our study is to investigate the contribution of ABCB1 polymorphisms to the risk of clopidogrel resistance(CR).Methods.The platelet functions were measured by the VerifyNow P2Y12 assay.Applying the restriction fragment length polymorphism--polymerase chain reaction(RFLP-PCR),the SNP of rs 1045642 was tested among 81 CR cases and 99 non-CR controls. We also investigated the association among the SNP,various biochemical characteristics and CR.Result.It was indicated that female, hypertension, and lower albumin were more likely to be the risk of CR(P<0.05).If the patients had no hypoproteinemia or had hypertension, the SNP in rs 1045642 was associated with CR(CC vs.TT:albuminā„35,P=0.042;hypertension,P=0.045;C vs.T:albuminā„35,P=0.033;hypertension,P=0.040).Multivariate logistic regression showed that male, the higher level of albumin and hsCRP decreased the risk of CR,and the quantity of stent maybe positively correlated with CR.Conclusions.The evidence from our study indicated that ABCB1 polymorphisms might bring new hints to elaborate the pathogenesis of CR. |
