Correlation Beteen Lumbar Never Root Symptoms And MRI Findings

ObjectiveObjective to study the correlation between nerve root symptoms caused by lumbar degenerative disease and imaging findings.MethodsFrom December 2019 to June 2020,the clinical data of 20 patients with lumbar disc herniation were collected,including 9 males and 11 females,and 10 normal volunteers,5males and 5 females,with a total of 30 subjects,aged 35-77 years old,with an average of 55years old.JOA score table was filled in and relevant demographic data were recorded;the absolute value(mm)of disc herniation was recorded by MRI scanning,and the software value of nerve root was obtained by importing the software.According to JOA score,the patients were divided into normal group,high JOA group(≥16 points)and low JOA group(<16points).MRI imaging was interpreted by two senior imaging experts in our hospital.The differences between the absolute value and software value of disc herniation in high and low groups and the correlation between them and JOA score were compared.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The degree of disc herniation was related to the degree of pain(r_h=-0.580,P>0.05;r_l=-0.381,P>0.05),p>There was a correlation between the maximum value of coronal nerve root software and the severity of clinical pain(r_h=-0.713,P<0.05;r_l=-0.776,P<0.01).There was a correlation between the maximum value of cross-sectional nerve root software and the severity of clinical pain(r_h=-0.845,P<0.01;r_l=-0.788,P<0.01).There was no correlation between the software values of other high and low groups(P>0.05).ConclusionThere was no significant correlation between the degree of disc herniation and the degree of clinical pain.There was no correlation between the minimum value of nerve root software and the degree of pain.The lower the JOA score is,the greater the maximum value of nerve root software is,indicating that the more severe the nerve root pain is,the greater the maximum value of nerve root software is,the easier it is to extract the threshold.The severity of pain is positively correlated with the degeneration of nerve root.
