Measurement Of Health Gap In Chinese Residents And Decomposition Of Factors

Healthy body is the basis of a person engaged in other production activities,but for various reasons,not everyone can achieve the best health.In October 2016,the "healthy China 2030" planning outline issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council put forward the requirements of "gradually narrowing the differences in basic health services and health levels between urban and rural areas,regions and people,achieving universal health coverage and promoting social equity".However,it is undeniable that there is still a certain health gap between each individual.The realization of health is not a simple biological problem,which is often mixed with a large number of socio-economic factors.Based on the perspective of urban-rural comparison,this paper uses statistical decomposition method to quantitatively study the impact of some factors on health gap.This paper uses the survey data of Peking University China family tracking survey(CFPS)from 2010 to 2018.Thanks to the extensive coverage and good sampling design of the project,the survey data set can be regarded as a representative sample of the whole country.Based on the 2010 data set,after deleting missing values and outliers,this paper selects 10614 respondents with five consecutive survey data from the data set,and divides the data set into urban and rural samples according to their current residence.In the model construction,based on the theory of health inequality,this paper brings the analysis of health gap into the "effort environment" interpretation framework,and brings the identity variable into the model,and constructs the health determination equation.In this paper,descriptive statistical method is used to analyze and compare the health status of residents in China among regions,between urban and rural areas,between gender and between age;σconvergence method is used to test the convergence of the health level of residents in China;ordinal logit regression model is used to fit the coefficients of the health decision equation to study the influence direction,degree and significance of various influencing factors on the health level This paper uses the difference index to measure the health gap between urban and rural residents in China,and makes a comparative analysis of the health differences between urban and rural residents in China;according to the Shapley value decomposition algorithm,it solves the contribution of each factor to the health gap,provides an additive decomposition for the comparison of the contribution of each factor,and makes a comparison of the health gap and the fluctuation of inequality factors in recent years in China Based on the results of Shapley value decomposition,the contribution of each influencing factor was analyzed under different health levels and different periods in urban and rural areas.After data processing and using descriptive statistical method,this paper draws these conclusions: the overall status of Chinese residents’ health is good.The problem of health inequality still exists,and there are still regional and gender differences in health.The health level of urban residents is significantly higher than that of rural residents,and there is more serious health inequality in rural areas.The main influencing factors of health gap between urban residents and rural residents are basically the same.Age,gender and education level are the main factors leading to the difference of residents’ health level.In recent years,the health gap between urban and rural residents in China has gradually increased,but the contribution of inequality factors has gradually decreased.In different health levels and years,different factors have different influence on Residents’ health level.Based on this,this paper gives the following policy recommendations.Promote the construction of new socialist countryside,continue to improve the level of urbanization in China,and reduce the health inequality between urban and rural areas.To establish and improve the pension system,families and society should assume their due responsibilities,so that the elderly can have a sense of security and a basis for illness,and narrow the health gap caused by age factors.We should improve the quality of education,explore new models of social education,speed up the improvement of our national education level,and narrow the health gap caused by education level.We should enhance the protection of women’s rights and interests,and make health care policies moderately inclined to women,so as to reduce the health inequality caused by gender factors.
