Objective: By measuring the serum myoglobin(Mb)concentration in patients with chronic kidney disease(CKD),the Significance of Mb in the progression of CKD was studied to evaluate whether it can help to reflect the renal function of CKD patients. To analyze the correlation between Mb and serum creatinine(Scr),urea nitrogen(BUN),uric acid(UA),glomerular filtration rate(e GFR),24-hour urine volume and hemoglobin(Hb)in CKD patients. Methods: From September 2018 to March 2019,106 patients with CKD who were admitted to General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University and had complete data were selected, including 68 males and 38 females. The basic information of the patients was obtained, including age, gender and basic primary disease.CKD patients were grouped according to the calculation formula of CKD-EPI e GFR.There were 11 cases in stage CKD1,15 cases in stage CKD2,19 cases in stage CKD3,15 cases in stage CKD4 and 46 cases in stage CKD5.Using uniform instrument measure biochemical index, including Scr,BUN,UA,Hb and Mb.The 24-hour urine volume of the patient on the first day after admission was calculated.Using SPSS23.0 statistical analysis software to analysis the data. Results: 1.The serum myoglobin of patients from CKD1 to CKD5 was statistically analyzed, and the blood Mb concentration of the five groups showed statistically significant difference(P<0.05);2.In CKD,correlation analysis between serum Mb and other indicators showed positive correlation between serum Mb and Scr,Bun and UA(r was 0.816、0.784、0.798,P<0.05);e GFR was negatively correlated with serum Mb(r=-0.629,P<0.05);3.In CKD,serum Mb was negatively correlated with urine volume at 24h(r=-0.684,P<0.05);4.Serum Mb and Hb were negatively correlated in patients with CKD(r=-0.659,P<0.05).Conclusions: 1.The concentration of serum MB contributes to evaluating the severity of CKD;2.In CKD,serum Mb concentration was positively correlated with Scr,Bun and UA,and negatively correlated with e GFR,which could be used as an indicator of renal function in patients with CKD;3.In CKD,serum Mb concentration was negatively correlated with urine volume at 24 h.It may have a monitoring significance for the 24-hour urine volume in CKD patients.4.The serum Mb concentration was negatively correlated with the Hb concentration in CKD patients.
