Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To study the characteristics of gastric myoelectric activity of patients with functional constipation, and to investigate the relationship between autonomic nervous function and mental state of patients with functional constipationMethods: 37 patients with functional constipation and 28 healthy volunteers from the outpatient and inpatient department of gastroenterology department in Dalian Central Hospital from March 2019 to December 2020 were selected as subjects. All patients received pre and post meal electrogastrogram examination and heart rate variability examination.Record and compare the changes of gastric myoelectric activity and heart rate variability.Evaluated the psychosocial state in FC group and control group,SAS and SDS scores of each group were calculated and compared, the incidence of anxiety and depression of each group was calculated, and the relationship between psychosocial state and heart rate variability parameters was assessed. Results: 1.37 patients(20 males and 17females)in FC group, the average age of(59.6 ± 9.0)years old, from 39-73 years old.28 patients(15 males and 13 females)in control group, with an average age of(56.8±10.8)years old, from 35-76 years old. There were no statistical significance in gender, age and BMI between FC group and control group(P > 0.05).2.The EGG results showed that the dominant frequency(DF)and preprandial dominant power(DP)of FC group were not statistical significance compared with control group(P > 0.05).The power ratio(PR)and postprandial DP in FC group were correlation with SDNN,SDANN,r MSSD,LF(P > 0.05),and negatively related with HF(r < 0,P < 0.05),positively related with LF/HF(r > 0,P < 0.05).Conclusion :1.FC patients have abnormal gastric myoelectrical activity, which is mainly manifested as the decrease of dominant power and slow gastric motility after meal, suggesting that gastric electric rhythm disorder and gastric motility disorder.2.The autonomic nervous dysfunction in FC patients is mainly manifested as decreased vagal tone.3.FC group patients are prone to anxiety and depression, and were related to autonomic nervous dysfunction.4.The pathogenesis of FC patients may be that psychological factors affect autonomic nervous function and cause gastric electrical rhythm disorder and gastric motility disorder.
