Objective To investigate the value of texture analysis for volumetric changes of abdominal aortic aneurysms(AAAs)after endovascular aneurysm repair(EVAR).Methods We retrospectively collected clinical and imaging data of 99 AAAs patients after EVAR of abdominal aortic aneurysms, and all patients had underwent computed tomography angiography(CTA)for two times at our institution between July 2014 and December 2019.According to the volume changes of two follow-ups,all cases were divided into increased group and no-increased groups.Segmentation software was used to manually outline the maximum axial sections of all aneurysms and extract the texture features of the thrombus, namely the grey level co-occurrence matrix(GLCM),the grey level run length matrix(GLRLM)and the grey level difference matrix(GLDM),and calculate the relationship with change of aneurysm volume.Besides, the presence or absence of endoleak and first time maximum aneurysm diameters were recorded. Results GLCM yielded the best performance with accuracy of 85.4%and an AUC of 0.931,GLRLM followed which attained accuracy of 85.4%and an AUC of 0.884,and GLDM attained accuracy of 82.0%and an AUC of 0.854,Which showed superior advantage over conventional imaging features with an AUC of 0.605.Conclusion CT texture analysis can provide useful information of volumetric changes about AAAs and is a reliable imaging follow-up method.
