| Objective To investigate the psychological disorders, quality of life, sleep quality of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and the effects of psychology on quality of life and sleep quality. Methods A total of 103 patients with IBD who were hospitalized in the Department of Gastroenterology from December 2017 to December 2019 were admitted, including 33 UC patients and 73 CD patients.Relevant data of IBD patients were collected for retrospective analysis.165 normal humans were selected as the control group in the same period. The general information, psychological characteristics and other factors of the two groups were investigated by questionnaire or filling in online. In the survey, the SCL-90 was used to detect the psychological symptoms,SF-36 and IBDQ to quality of life, and PSQI to sleep status. The disease activity of UC patients and CD patients was measured by Mayo score and HBI score, respectively. Results 1.The score of SCL-90 in IBD group was 119(47),significantly higher than that in control group 103(28),P=0.0007.2.The SF-36(p<0.0001)and IBDQ(p<0.0001)in the IBD group were significantly lower than those in the control group.3.The PSQI in IBD group was 7.5(5),which was significantly higher than that in control group 4(0),P < 0.0001.4.SCL-90(P=0.018)and PSQI(P=0.007)were higher in active IBD patients than in remission, and SF-36(P = 0.002)and PSQI(P <0.0001)were lower in active IBD patients than in remission.5.When the range of activity was not distinguished, there was no significant difference in the scores of the four scales between UC and CD groups. However, the scores of SCL-90 and PSQI of CD patients in remission were higher than those of UC.6.As the SCL-90 score ofIBD patients increases, the SF-36 scores decrease(r=-0.739,p<0.0001),IBDQ scores decrease(r=-0.743,p<0.0001),and PSQI scores increase(r=-0.662,p<0.0001).With the increase of SF-36 score in patients with IBD,the PSQI score decreased(r = 0.662,p < 0.0001).Conclusion Psychological status and health-related quality of life are negatively affected in patients with IBD,especially in active IBD.A healthier status of mental should be synchronized with a better quality of life and sleep. The psychosomatic problems of the IBD population should be valued and identified in time.In addition,it is necessary to accelerate psychological intervention and construction for IBD patients. |
