| [Purpose]The application of electronic hand hygiene monitoring is helpful to improve the working efficiency of professional staff and the hand hygiene compliance of medical staff.Although relevant real-time hand health monitoring information management systems with different functions have been developed.The institutional background and hand health monitoring methods of the hand health management organization of Hospital A in this study are different from those of other medical institutions.The overall introduction of the system will have serious applicability problems.Therefore,it is necessary to study the specific needs of Hospital A and develop A more concise and practical real-time monitoring information management system for hand hygiene.[Methods]Through literaturecollection of hand hygiene monitoring information management and information system analysis and design related literature,which summarized the research experience in the design of hand hygiene real-time monitoring system and identified the research direction and proposed the main research issues;Through a four-month participatory observation of the Nosocomial infection Management Department of A Hospital,which the hand hygiene management work of professionals with hospital awareness was understood.And the work data of hand hygiene management within the organization was collected to provide data support for systematic analysis;The in-depth interview method was used to conduct unstructured interviews with the full-time staff with the sense of hospital in key observation,which is analyzed their demands and supplement the current situation and demands of hand hygiene management from the perspective of job position;Using Unified Modeling Languageenables to define requirements during the requirements and design phases.The use case diagrams are used to define requirements and sequence diagrams are used to demonstrate specific operations.[Results]Firstly,The present situation of hand hygiene management in A hospital is characterized by backward data management mode,less times of direct observation and low observation rate;Second,about the system analysis: the purpose of system development is to improve the working efficiency of full-time staff and promote hand hygiene management informatization.The user needs of the system were clearly defined,which can realize automatic collection and statistics of hand hygiene data,real-time update and query of data,and information management of medical staff;Thirdly,about the system design: the overall architecture of the system which is designed based on the information system development method.Five functional modules,which is including event query,statistical analysis,equipment management,system management and basic information functions,as well as the corresponding database table are designed.And the designed of five functional modules including event query,statistical analysis,equipment management,system management and basic information functions.And the corresponding database table are designed;Fourth,about the preliminary application of the system: after application in key departments of A Hospital,it was found that the efficiency of hand hygiene management was improved.For example,the number of hand hygiene times collected by medical staff increased by 3,579 times,which is compared with manual observation and statistics.The number of hand hygiene times collected by doctors increased by 172 times.And with the observation rate increased by 2.69 times.Moreover,data can be automatically determined and counted,which can realize the basic functions of information query and data statistical analysis in the design stage.[Conclusions]This study based on A hospital hand hygiene management of hospital infection management section observation and hand hygiene data and statistical analysis.Based on this,the requirements for the system are determined.A real-time monitoring information management system for hand hygiene is designed,which consists of five functional modules: event query,statistical analysis,basic information,user management and equipment management.This system design can improve the efficiency of hand hygiene management of professionals in A hospital and promote the informatization development of hand hygiene management. |
