| ObjectiveHeartburn and reflux are typical symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, and esophageal lesions are indicators of the severity of gastroesophageal reflux disease. However there is no correlation between the severity of symptoms and the severity of esophageal lesions. For patients who cannot tolerate and are unwilling to undergo intubation gastroscopy, magnetic capsule gastroscopy is undoubtedly the best choice. However, magnetron capsules have a short residence time in the esophagus, and the diagnostic value of esophageal lesions is unknown.he object of this research is to explore the diagnostic value of magnetically controlled capsule gastroscopy(MCCG)in patients with esophageal lesions with typical reflux symptoms.MethodsA retrospective analysis about the clinical data of magnetically controlled capsule gastroscopy of Wuhan Union Medical Hospital Digestive Endoscopy Center from August 2014 to June 2018.The enrolled subjects were divided into 2 groups: 168 healthy physical examination groups without gastrointestinal symptoms and 146 symptomatic groups with typical heartburn reflux symptoms. The frequency of symptoms in the symptom group met the Montreal diagnostic criteria for gastroesophageal refluxdisease. The course of disease was longer than 1 month. The detection of esophageal, gastric and duodenal lesions by magnetically controlled capsule gastroscopy was analyzed, and the differences between the two groups in the detection of upper gastrointestinal lesions, especially esophageal lesions were compared.ResultsA retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 168 healthy physical examination groups(104 males and 64 females, average age 45.9 ± 11.0)and146 symptoms(83 males and 63 females, average age 49.7 ± 14.9 years old)found that the symptom group The overall disease detection rate was significantly higher than that of the healthy physical examination group(62.3% VS 44.6%,P <0.05).Magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy can effectively detect esophageal lesions, such as reflux esophagitis, raised lesions,orange-red island mucosa. The detection rate of esophageal lesions in the symptom group was significantly higher than that in the healthy physical examination group, and the difference was significant(19.9% vs 6.5%,P<0.01).In particular, the detection rate of erosive esophagitis was much higher than that of the healthy physical examination group(14.4% VS 3.6%,P<0.01).In addition, the detection rate of duodenal ulcer in the symptom group was significantly higher than that in the healthy physical examination group(5.5% VS1.2%,P<0.05).For gastric lesions, such as gastric bile reflux, erosive gastritis, gastric polyps, gastric anthomas, gastric bulging lesions, gastric ulcers, gastric cancer, and gastric vascular malformations,no significant difference was detected between the two groups(P> 0.05).ConclusionMagnetically controlled capsule gastroscopy can sensitively detect esophageal lesions and has good diagnostic value for esophageal lesions. It can be used as an effective method for the diagnosis and screening of esophageal diseases, and it is safe and tolerable. |
