| With the increase of feeding level,the incidence of soil eating in large-scale dairy farms showed an increasing trend.In order to explore the causes of lactating dairy cow pedophile and take effective preventive measures,this study was divided into two experiments.The specific design and research results are as follows:Experiment 1:The reason of lactating dairy cow’s heterophagousIn order to explore the causes of soil eating habits of lactating dairy cows,this experiment selected dairy cows with similar body weight and parity,and lactating period of about 3 months to observe whether they had soil eating behavior.Six soil-eating dairy cows and six normal dairy cows were selected.The diet,feces,soil,blood,rumen fluid,tail hair and milk samples of dairy cows were collected.The contents of mineral elements K,Ca,Mg,P,Fe,Mn,Zn and Cu in the samples were detected to analyze the causes of soil eating in dairy cows.Results showed:1)By adding sweet,sour and salty taste test in the flume,compared with the normal water intake of dairy cows,the soil-eating dairy cows did not like the acidic water solution,and did not show obvious preference for salty water solution.There was no significant difference in taste detection between the soil-eating dairy cows and the control group,indicating that the soil-eating behavior of dairy cows was not related to taste.2)Through the detection of the contents of K,Ca,Mg,P,Fe,Zn,Mn,Cu and crude protein in the diet,it was considered that the contents of K,Ca,Mg,Fe and crude protein were lower than the nutritional requirements of dairy cows,which would lead to soil feeding of dairy cows.Conclusion:The results of this experiment showed that the reason of lactating dairy cattle eating soil was not related to taste.Through the detection and analysis of mineral elements and two nutrients in feces,blood,rumen fluid and milk samples of lactating dairy cows,it was considered that K,Ca,Mg,Fe and crude protein in the diet could not meet the nutritional needs of dairy cows,which would cause dairy cattle eating soil.It was also necessary to carry out feeding experiments to verify.Experiment 2:Effects of Supplementary Feeding of Mineral Elements and Crude Protein on Prevention of Lactating Dairy Cows’ PesychiaIn order to explore the effect of supplementary feeding of mineral elements on soil eating behavior of dairy cows,12 soil-eating dairy cows were selected for a month of supplementary feeding according to the results of experiment 1,and the contents of mineral elements(K,Ca,Mg,Fe)in samples were collected to determine the best feeding scheme for the prevention of lactating dairy cows.Results showed:1)Through the observation test of soil feeding behavior of dairy cows,it was found that the number of heads of dairy cows feeding on soil more than 1 min decreased from 10 heads/day to 4 heads/day.Supplementary feeding test could reduce the frequency of soil feeding and the continuous soil feeding time of dairy cows.2)In this study,it was suggested that the supplementation of mineral elements in dairy diets had no significant indigenous effect on dry matter intake,milk yield,p H value of rumen fluid and volatile fatty acid content.3)After supplementary feeding of K,Ca,Mg and Fe,there was no significant difference in the contents of each element in feces,rumen fluid,blood,hair and milk samples of dairy cows in the indigenous group after supplementary feeding compared with those before supplementary feeding.Conclusion:The results of this study suggest that the supplementation of K,Ca,Mg,Fe and crude protein in the diet of soil-eating dairy cows can reduce the frequency of soil eating and the continuous feeding time of soil,and alleviate the soil eating behavior of dairy cows.In summary,the soil feeding behavior of dairy cows was related to the insufficient contents of K,Ca,Mg,Fe and crude protein in diets.Through the supplementary feeding experiment,it was found that the lack of mineral elements and crude protein in the diet could alleviate the soil feeding behavior of dairy cows. |
