microbiota from alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)and Italian ryegrass(Lolium multiforlium Lam.)at different growth periods on fermentative profile and microbial diversity dynamics in forages.Compare the dynamic changes and adaptive processes of epiphytic microbiota from forage at different growth periods and analysis their contributions on fermentation quality. The experimental results could provide the theoretical basis of microbiology for the establishment of forage at different growth stages silage modulation schemes.1 Effect of epiphytic microbiota derived from alfalfa at different growth periods on fermentation quality and microbial community dynamics in alfalfa silageThis experiment was conducted to study the effects of epiphytic microbiota derived from alfalfa at different growth periods on fermentation quality and microbial community dynamics in alfalfa(AL).Two experiments were set up in this study. The first experiment was conducted to examine the effects of epiphytic microbiota from alfalfa at the early flowering or the flowering stage on the early flowering alfalfa fermentation quality. The early flowering alfalfa was treated with the following:(1)Early flowering AL was ensiled directly(1AL);(2)Sterile Early flowering AL(1ALγ);(3)Sterile Early flowering AL with the Early flowering AL microbiota(1AL1AL);(4)Sterile Early flowering AL with the flowering AL microbiota(2AL1 AL).Results indicated that 2AL1AL and 2AL1AL had relatively higher lactic acid contents ratios of lactic acid to acetic acid and lower pH values. The second experiment was conducted to examine the effects of epiphytic microbiota from alfalfa at the early flowering or the flowering stage on the flowering alfalfa fermentation quality. The flowering alfalfa was treated with the following:(1)Flowering AL was ensiled directly(2AL);(2)Sterile flowering AL(2ALy);(3)Sterile flowering AL with Early flowering AL microbiota(1AL2AL);(4)Sterile flowering AL with flowering AL microbiota(2AL2AL).Results indicated that 2AL2AL-1 lactic acid contents higher than 1AL2AL-1.Analysis of microbial diversity results indicated that after 3 days of ensiling,Lactobacillus was predominant in 2AL1 AL and 2AL2AL,while Weissella was dominant in 1AL1AL and 1AL2AL.After 30 days of ensiling,Pediococcus was risen in 1AL1AL and 1AL2AL.Lactobacillus was predominant in 1AL1AL,2AL1AL,1AL2AL and 2AL2AL.Overall,alfalfa silage inoculation flowering alfalfa raicrobiota could promote lactic acid fermentation.2 E ffect of epiphytic microbiota derived from Italian ryegrass at different growth periods on fermentation quality and microbial community dynamics in Italian ryegrass silageThis experiment was conducted to study the effects of epiphytic microbiota derived from Italian ryegrass at different growth periods on fermentation quality and microbial community dynamics in Italian ryegrass(IR).Two experiments were set up in this study. The first experiment was conducted to examine the effects of epiphytic microbiota from Italian ryegrass at the heading or the filling stage on the heading Italian ryegrass fermentation quality. The heading Italian ryegrass was treated with the following:(1)The heading IR was ensiled directly(1IR);(2)Sterile heading IR(1IRγ);(3)Sterile heading IR with heading IR microbiota(1IR1IR);(4)Sterile heading IR with filling IR microbiota(2IR1IR).Results indicated that 2IR1IR had relatively higher lactic acid content than 1IR2IR,1IR1IR had higher ammonia-N content and acetic acid content than 2IR1IR.The second experiment was conducted to examine the effects of epiphytic microbiota from Italian ryegrass at the heading or the filling stage on the filling Italian ryegrass fermentation quality. The filling Italian ryegrass was treated with the following;(1)Filling IR was ensiled directly(2IR);(2)Sterile filling IR(2IRy);(3)Sterile filling IR with heading IR microbiota(1IR2IR);(4)Sterile filling IR with filling IR microbiota(2IR2IR).Results indicated that 2IR2IR compare with 1IR2IR,2IR2IR lactic acid content is higher.Analysis of microbial diversity results indicated that after 7 days of ensiling,Lactobacillus and Weissella was predominant in 1IR1IR and 1IR2IR,while Lactobacillus was dominant in 2IRIIR,Pediococcus was dominant in 2IR2IR.After 30 days of ensiling,Lactococcus and Weissella constituted the majority of bacterial community in 1IR1IR and 1IR2IR,while Lactobacillus was predominant in 2IR1IR and 2IR2IR.Overall,whether the silage material was ryegrass at heading stage or ryegrass at filling stage, better fermentation quality of ryegrass which inoculation filling ryegrass microbiota. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Growth period, Epiphytic microbiota, Fermentation quality, Microbial diversity,
